Hope my source is wrong but I've been told De Jong will be sold due to not accepting a new contract.

My source also said we have already got a replacement in mind.

"IF" that's true, we are making a massive mistake. Hes in the top 3-4 players in the world, in that position.

Does anyone know what's happening with De Jong? Why was he not even on the bench? Has something happened behind the scenes with him? I wonder if it's anything to do with him wanting an improved contract, I mean FFS he's one of our main players pay him the same as the others, we need to keep him.

One of the best players in the team last season, settled, happy, with a great relationship with the manager & fans, is suddenly dropped and won't sign a new contract?

What's that I smell?

Oh, yes, it's Kia Joorbachian.

I'm sure no-one (including Mancini) wants him to leave. But equally, it wouldn't surprise me if the club have taken the decision that letting De Jong (and Tevez) go, are bitter pills, worth swallowing if it means we can be rid of this digusting parasite once and for all.

i'd put him and essien in the top 2, but then again i don't watch european football really, i know de rossi is quality too. who are the 3 players you were thinking of? not being a smart arse, just intrigued to see who our replacements couldbe!

Well I'd probably say Cambiasso, Essein (When Fit) and De Jong would probably be the top 3, in no particular order.

How decent is your source and who is the replacement?

Why was he not even on the bench today?

He's an ex football agent so is well connected. De Jong is a good business man so could just be playing hard ball but City won't be bullied by players anymore.

If you don't believe in the project then you'll be sold.

World class DM's need more in their locker that gusto and stamina. They need to be able to pass a ball more than 10 yards. The reason we were labelled defensive last year was because there was not enough penetration through the middle.

The rat Kia has broken the camels back here.

don't agree, de jong isn't a bad passer at all, if you notice our build up play is slow de jong just simply wins the ball back and makes sure we retain possession. i'm sure bobby is telling him to do exactly what he does. i just hope he fucks that snake off.

I've never seen Xavi pass the ball further than 10yards. de Jong is massively underrated by Bluemoon. He's just not recovered from an injury properly yet, he limped off against Villa and Villarreal. He'll be back playing more regularly when he does recover fully. Also in his last three games City have scored 12 goals, hardly a hinderabce to our attacking play, our average for the season is 3.54 goals a game and in his last three we've averaged 4.

Re: De Jong last night..

I'd be disapointed if Nige had let himself be manipulated into a postion where he would be sold - by anyone - he is clearly not stupid.
We do need that type of player in the squad and although I'm a big fan - his name didn't exactly trip of the tongue in the far east before he joined us.

Hopefully the truth is he is troubled by the injury and negotioations are ' ongoing' !

That comment is laughable i can only conclude you have only ever watched him play once
