De Jong Vs Lucas

Was just having a little browse of RAWK and can't believe how stupid some of their fans are.

Firstly they think Lucas is the best DM in the Premiership and second only to Busquets in the world (fair enough, we all think our own players are best), however some of the reasoning for this is this stat from their 3-0 victory last season:

Lucas:

Passes: 63 - 53 successful
Tackles: 12 - 8 successful
Blocks: 0
Clearances: 2


De Jong:

Passes: 8 - 8 successful
Tackles: 1 - 1 successful
Blocks: 0
Clearances: 0

follwed by comments such as:

Tells its own story, and for the benefit of the Man City fans who are basically the only people who'll be too stupid to know what that story is, I'll tell you.

For a DM he's lazy when he doesn't fancy it. EIGHT fucking passes away from home from your DM is outrageous. It's appalling. And the reason that happened is because he was getting dominated and couldn't be fucked to put a shift in.

However "Dr Manhattan" seems "too stupid" to realise that De Jong was only brought on with 7 minutes to go so to compare Lucas playing 90 with De Jong coming on at 83 mins is foolhardy at best. Are there a group of fans more deluded than scousers?
 
i'm not too sure on this....i have a fair few liverfool ST mates, who swear lucas is useless and the worse player on their books for a long time

i wouldnt take RAWK as a definitive cross section of their opinions mate, same as we know outsiders shouldnt take bluemoon as a said on city fans opinions

There really isn't a set of fans more deluded than the Scousers. They honestly believe that they have won every competition for the last 20 years. Every player they have is the best in their position. It's quite cute really.

I am going to apply some Scouse logic now:

Lets scale his stats as if he played the full game. He would have made 103 passes with a 100% completion rate and 13 tackles with a 100% completion rate.

Wow Lucas rocks ;)
 
Deluded scouse cunts, De Jong is on another level than Lucas will ever be, it shows that scousers who support the red dippers have a lower IQ than I thought they did

I'm not too arsed about them thinking their own player is better, it's only natural to back your own. Think I was more bothered with the way that someone put that stat up (the Liverpool away game when De Jong came on with 5 mionutes to go) and how they all decide to use it as "evidence" of how shit De Jong is.

Now I know this place can be silly at times but you'd think if it was reversed, atleast one City fan would have pointed out the falibility of such ridiculous comparisons. We are pretty fair and if anything, I think we tend to overestimate the strengths of other teams & players.

i think the difference is the average IQ of the frequenters of the two boards
someone on here would have picked up on the incorrect stats as we are able to question something that seems stupid, look into in further and present a cogent argument against the preposition
and you are hoping scousers could do this? tut tut

Lucas reads the game better and passes better and is better technically.

He made a lot more tackles than De Jong last season.

How does it not make sense - they are both good players with Lucas very slightly better.

Whenever I'm feeling like a little light relief I pop onto RAWK (never post on there, that would be sad). It is, at times, the highest form of the art of comedy. Admittedly its farcical and deluded ramblings aren't quite at the amusing level they were this time last year but it still provides endless hours of entertainment and for that, I will be forever in RAWK's debt.

The supreme embodiment of this festival of light entertainment is Dr Manhattan. He is RAWK's equivalent of Joey Barton. A man of average intelligence who thinks he is a towering intellect. Like Barton being found out by Henry Winter with his lack of knowledge on the works of George Orwell, the posting of these 'stats' exposes 'Dr M' as nothing but a one-eyed, bitter and deluded Liverpool fan.

No wonder he is 'officially the 7th best poster' on RAWK.
