sorry, my mind is fookin fried today as I'm dreading this transfer window. De Rossi being the wrost one as its like a 1% chance of signing him. Roma need to grow the fuck up cos its not good business or performance sense relying on 1 player.

He'll play at his peak for maybe another 2-3 years and then its down hill. They could cash in a really build on the team for the next 10 years but nooooo, Roma through and through bollox. That journo saying well done to De Rossi for staying loyal is dumb as plank! football for owners is a business; winning titles, success, revenue ... not having 1 loyal player!

After that rant, I'm now praying we land him!!

Deep down mate, Roma will want to sell and like you said it is a business at the end of the day.

With the money Roma can get from De Rossi, they could invest for the future - Roma hold no true loyalty to De Rossi as they can always move on and progress without him.

If we offered a fantastic offer, Roma will probably convince De Rossi to leave in my opinion - money doesnt just talk from the players behalf, clubs like to have a good pay day every now and then.

I would love you to be right about this but the window closes in less than 72 hours. I can't imagine striking a deal so late, considering we've had all summer long to do it, unless Roma want an excuse not to spend the transfer fee.

We've only gone and signed two young players with huge potential in key positions we were lacking and successfully shifted a lot of players off the wage bill that weren't in Mancini's plans. It's not jaw-dropping but surely this isn't the woeful window people are making out. That said if we lose either Dzeko or NDJ without suitable replacements, i retract all that and join in the pointless slagging of Marwood.

Add Javi Garcia, or as unlikely it is, DDR himself and it will have been a pretty good window for us.

I have just read that De Rossi's press conference statement actually left the door open for him to join City.

I thought it was a flat denial that he would be leaving Roma.

i think his coference was a simple 'off the hook' chat so he would come out smelling of roses should roma sell- think it,s too late in the day for such a large signing to happen imo....
