There are only 2 defensive midfielders in the world who are better than De Rossi. Alonso and Busquets. No point talking about either of them.

Actually he did once when someone got a red card. I think it might have been against Arsenal, but my memory is fuzzy.

And no, I don't think Yaya is a CB for anything other than an emergency.

What about Javi Garcia of benfica, Spanish dm who can play cb? A recent Spanish international and apparently highly rated, 25 years old. Just suggesting an alternative to DDR and has been linked with us in the past.

Is Vidal realistic? Because I would have taken him over De Rossi due to age. But he's playing for the Italian champions.

Maybe Witsel, not sure how his skillset would adapt to a deep lying position. Does he play DM regularly? If Inler was younger and didn't play for Napoli with their crazy owner, maybe.

Dear oh dear - all about opinions i guess but i'd wager Busquets would fall flat on his face in the prem, where as DDR would command any central midfield in europe!!!
