I think everyone is missing the obvious here. It is the same agent that represents Cerci. That guy Mancini has been after for 2 and a half years for some reason.

Here's the actual quote from Angelo Mangiante

' The possibility that De Rossi leaves Roma are zero. I repeat zero. I do not want him, I want him now. Mancini may resign.'

This is actually encouraging because he sounds angry, a guy whose passions are running so high that he refuses to believe that De Rossi could leave... ala Arsenal fans with van Persie before recently.

To back it up he is a Roman and Roma fan: <a class="postlink" href="http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angelo_Mangiante" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angelo_Mangiante</a>

It means we are doing all we can to persuade DDR to sign for us. Roma can't really afford to keep him on the new deal they signed him on, but they could not afford to piss off their fanbase as well. Thiago Silva is the comparison I am using for this type of transfer.

I don't like it when anyone is so assuredly opposed to our plans. If we can't get DDR we're rapidly running out of quality midfielders to go after.

What does the last part mean, is he talking to himself?
