ROME - "The City will offer 55 million for De Rossi." , writes a British tabloid, convinced that the proposal is crucial to soften Rome. God forbid. But Trigoria never came an offer of this kind, that being "indecent" and how it would be enough to change history. And nobody from Manchester has in mind to rise up to above, where (sometimes) dare sheiks. De Rossi is a player of 29 years and is evaluated by the City no more than 20-25 million. Few to take away to Rome a pillar and a symbol for the present and future. If it is true that everything has a price, this is not the price. THE NEGOTIATION - So far indeed Rome had contacts with British leaders but no official offer. There was an informal approach, facilitated by the travel manager Berti in Manchester, which he immediately refused Baldini: 15 million, bank instant. On this basis, as they know all the players, can not start a negotiation. Read the full article on the issue today ddel Corriere dello Sport-Stadium

I dont know if true but just saw in twatter someone who is at Roma's Olimpic Stadium wrote:
All for Daniele De Rossi. The midfielder played titrated against Aris Thessaloniki. The Giallorossi fans respond to the interest of the City: De Rossi is untouchable. The official speaker of Rome announced that the player saying "I have tried many but chose to wear the red and yellow jersey and will do so forever." An important signal, such as the position of the fans. De Rossi to a roar, choirs and a banner significantly from Curva Sud ("do not touch"). The will of the fans is clear ...

He tweeted De Rossi has turned down City.

:/ WTF?

Some bloke/supposed freelance journalist called matthew_barker says:

“@matthew_barker: Olimpico announcer hails De Rossi before Aris friendly tonight: "Many want him, but he has chosen to wear the #Roma shirt & will do forever"”

Doesn't sound too promising to me.
