we really do need de rossi or someone of a similar ilk... just imagine if barry got injured again and yaya went to the ACON. Would we really go to stamford bridge/old trafford or the emirates with a midfield pairing of de jong and rodwell... we would get crucified... we need someone who can collect the ball and drive at defenders to create space for others.

laughed your head off at what ?
At the desperation. Some people really need something in their lives which means signing a player is neither here nor there.
Presume most of it is kids just before tucking into the Sunday Roast their mum made.

Give it a rest will you it's the transfer forum, this is what it does end of, you getting on your high horse won't change it
I don't usually, but lol. High horse? No! I just see people in complete meltdown over not alot other than rumours, largely, (if no all), based on the internet. As I say, if De Rossi signs he signs, if he doesn't he doesn't. Some are stressing like as though life itself will end, so no it's not a high horse, more an opinion of someone who has more to worry about than if one player signs for our club from another club, (as excellent as it would be).

I would think that if the club and Mancini go for him then, obviously he would improve the team. Just think people are going a little overboard. You inferred that it is the signing that would win us the champions league.

Maybe you are right but I do not think so. Although I would like to think you are.

Also, I dont think it is particularly mature when you "lol" at peoples considered opinions. That is just your style I guess.
When people can say why get him as we have Barry, de Jong, Milner and rodders, I feel I can laugh.

He's in a different league (as suggested by his fee for a start)

As for your opinion on 'my style' - I couldnt give two hoots pal.

You didnt "lol" at comparisons to our current midfield. You "lol"ed at somebodies considered opinion at the speculative financial arrangements that could surround this deal.

As I previously said, I have not seen enough of De Rossi to form a fully informed view of his abilities. By all accounts he would improve us. Your inferrence was that his addition could likely win us the champions league and therefore would make the investment a good thing.

I am not so sure.
No one could claim to he sure. That's how football works though.

And no, I lol'd at dan saying we had Milner, Barry, rodders and the likely to depart Nigel.

I remember people were on here all night tracking Aguero's flight to Manchester before he signed.

How sad can you get?

Don't they have a family to spend time with?
Can say that about any forum or even going to the games if youre honest.

Pablo Daniel Osvaldo, Michael Bradley and Mattia Destro scored in Roma’s win over Aris Salonika, but all eyes were on Manchester City target Daniele De Rossi at the Olimpico.

The last couple of days were dominated by talk of a Manchester City offer for the ‘Future Captain,’ so the 40,000 fans chanted his name and unveiled a banner that read: ‘Hands off De Rossi!’

The midfielder was introduced to the crowd with the speaker’s words: “He chose Roma for life. Our most important signing – Daniele De Rossi.”

Fans guilt tripping DDR. If he wasn't considering it they would have squashed these rumors weeks ago.

To me that sounds like the announcer along with the rest of the Roma fans were just having a DeRossi love in, and trying to persuade there best player to stay!

The pic I posted was from a freelance journalist who is watching the match I guess. He reckons that DDR will join us.
