Don't worry about Real. Roberto will bring out the old 'do you want to be given a trophy, or win a trophy' tag-line. At least I hope he will. I can ever see us playing all 3 'defensive' midfielders in some games.

Yaya, De Rossi & Barry across the middle. Silva, Balo and Aguero up front. Nice.
 
According to La Repubblica Roma have tweaked their offer; five-years contract with option to rescind contract this summer if rival club offers £25m euros AND De Rossi wants to go.

Manchester City target Daniele De Rossi has until Friday to agree to a new deal with Roma or he will be sold - to Real Madrid.

Roberto Mancini has gone public with his desire to sign the midfielder and that is believed to have angered Roma officials.

The antics of De Rossi's agent, Sergio Berti, have also troubled the Serie A club.

Berti wants hefty commission for helping the prolonged negotiations with Di Rossi and Roma are threatening to cut their losses on the 28-year-old.

The Italy midfielder has been offered a new five-year deal worth £6m-a-season and, if he does not agree, the Italian giants will attempt to sell him to Real Madrid for £10m.

Franco Baldini, Roma's general manager, is believed to be keen on dealing with Madrid ahead of Manchester City after Jose Mourinho's side let Fernando Gago join the La Liga outfit on loan this season.

Real Madrid? How many midfielders would the have then? Xabi Alonso anyone?
 
If De Rossi decides to leave Roma, then I believe he will join us.

Roma won't have a say on where he goes, because he can sign a pre contract agreement to join for free in the summer, should Roma play silly buggers.
 
I am convinced he will sign for us within two weeks, its just a matter of time, also if stories are to be believed that PSG are to go for Pato and Kaka, AC can use this money to get Tevez out of our lives and minds.... the sooner the better.

We'll just have to bide our time, but De Rossi will sign for us, I'll be gutted if not though.
