May get to hear before weekend out.

That he is signing for us? or that he is signing a new contract?

I am not trying to be an ITK, but I'd say its the first, they keep saying he's missing training for an injury .. I've watched him play his last match with Roma in the league and he looked fine when he was substituted in the 78th min and from what I read in some of Roma's forums .. they are expecting him to leave.

Any links to the Roma forum mate?

I'm an Italian supporter of Napoli. I may help you to understand this situation about De Rossi.
First of all, he's a good player. Probably the best Italian midfielder after Prilo (but i may admit the others aren't so good...). In Roma he's called "Capitan Futuro", you may understand it's meaning, the captain of tomorrow, since today the captain is Francesco Totti. De Rossi is from Roma, he's a supporter of that hateful team, and he'd love to play there as long as he can. But there's a problem. The owner of Roma is now the American De Benedetto, but it looks like still Unicredit, a bank, has an important role in the society. Actually, Roma is not a rich club, and it can't give to De Rossi (which i remind you, is going to be 29 this year) all the money that, according to media, Real Madrid and City could. So those are the scenarios: Roma gives a lot of money to De Rossi, less then Real or City, but still a lot, and he stays in Roma; Roma can't give enough money to De Rossi and will try to sell him this year or he will go for free to Real or City. I don't know if you're really interested in him, but media always say Real, City and PSG because those are the clubs that can buy.
I hope i helped you somehow.

PS it doesn't mind if he played or not against Fiorentina in Coppa Italia. In this competition usually the greatest player don't play till the very end.

The leaders of the Roman club are considering offering the pass of the Italian international Daniele De Rossi to Real Madrid if they can not renew the contract of the medium. According to the Italian press, the leaders of Rome are prepared to make a big financial effort and offer a contract to De Rossi around six million euros a year, but it is not certain that the player renew. Against this backdrop and given that the player will be free at the end of the season, Rome will be willing to offer the medium to pass from Real Madrid for 10 million market in the last days of winter and so do not leave on a free end of the season for Manchester City, which also follows the player.

Honestly, I am getting fed up of all this De Rossi business. If he come that's fantastic but if he doesn't hurry the hell up!

Thank you! I'd really hope to beat Chelsea too! I have my graduation the day before the match! Good luck for the Premier!

One thing about this Captain Futuro thing.

He is 28, when exactly is he going to be called Captain?

The club have hardly bust a nut to keep him happy.

I realise Totti has the armband but he is 35, are they going to wait until Totti is in his box, before passing on the band?

I'm doubt this is going to happen somehow. If he cared so much about his club he wouldn't try and stretch them economically as much as he has done, but at the same time all the indications I have read is that he is staying.
