As for Deacon Blue, no argument from me, they wrote some great songs. Dignity has not suffered from over exposure, it’s a classic

As for Deacon blue, wages day is a classic.

My favourite is Jordan the Comeback. I had it in my top 20 albums on the recent thread.

Quite liked them at the time, but now seem like a slightly less witty and more up their own arse version of the Beautiful South. A brave and perhaps in retrospect stupid decision to have the word Deacon in your band name when you were pitching your '80's pop act at former '70's blue peter viewers.
