how do you know this?
Exactly, no way would City be willing to offer an extended contract with increased salary on any player who has such an injury with both an uncertain recovery time and uncertain outcome. Bayern will be even more cautious and I suspect would want to see Sane complete 20+ high intensity games with no notable dip in his speed once he returns.

In short it's probably August 2020 before he's sellable, and who knows what state he'll be in then or who'd be in for him?

He'll certainly have plenty of time to rue his refusal to sign his extension.

Apparently, were not allowed to have these thoughts, hope you have your flak jacket on :)

All those messages from the other players might sway his decision down the line. The togetherness of the squad is great and he knows what he’ll be missing.

I don't think for a minute we will withdraw any offer,we have made it and i really don't think we would do that to him, injuries are part of the game,we want to keep him so i think what is on the table will stay

Ordinarily, I would agree with you but surely the club will take into account him not already signing it after over 12 months and that the interest from Bayern may well have been with Sane's blessing.

I think times have moved on from being Mill or Mine owner in the 1800s mate.

We are led to believe he never asked to leave,he hasn't rocked the boat as far as pep says, gundy has also just signed a deal we made to him a while ago, sane has continued to be committed to us despite the onslaught from bayern so there is no need to "punish" him by withdrawing an offer,as a club we stand by the injured players and as far as we know we haven't behaved in the way some are suggesting,he is at the stage of signing his peak years to one club,we expect players to grab at offers but he might just be someone who needs to think about it and see how his playing time goes

Bang on the money Karen

Think we have now lost half of the transfer money we would have got for him . Bayern will now walk away and come back in the summer with a silly offer which we may well have to accept because he will prob run his contract down .
