Sterling isn’t playing well. He didn’t play well against Brighton and was poor at Norwich and yesterday. He was rotated last week and Bernardo scored a hat trick in that position and he did a lot more than just wing play in his general game than Sterling does on the left.

But I think with the lack of movement to create space for the winger from Zinchenko, that’s the main reason why Sterling isn’t playing well. But Sané can create space for himself. Sterling does this really well on the right but he’s a bit predictable always cutting inside on the left. Sané would get games on the left for us at the moment as Bernardo can play in the middle as well like he did at Preston when Garcia came on.

Remember, Leroy had the best minutes to goals/assists in our squad last season.

Angelino looks like he likes to get past the man in front of him as an overlap and we all know what Mendy can do. Zinchenko seems to want to come inside and play his next pass into midfield when he gets the ball, so little chance of him being a foil to create space for Sterling.

Sterling isn’t playing well at the moment, thought he did alright yesterday compared to previous weeks. He’s been super consistent for the last two years so it would be inevitable that we might see a drop off at some point.

Really hope Leroy stays, Bayern are still stuck in the hangover of Pep leaving. From a playing side of things I don’t get why he would want to go there apart from being number one on the team sheet. Bundesliga is not as prestigious as the premier league and I can’t see them winning the champions league any time soon. He can live in Germany for as long as he like once his careers over surely his priorities should be how many trophies he can win.

The other thing is maybe look at using Leroys choice if surgeon more often

Unlikely. When pep spoke about Cugat it was like he was his best friend, they've obviously built up a lot of trust over the 20 odd years hes been using him.

He's also got a worldwide reputation as one of the leading specialists in knee surgeries, used by half the footballing world, so it's not a blind loyalty.

It's great that Leroy is ahead of schedule but unlikely that Cugat would have gotten worse results.

The talk all summer was he only had 2 years left so 2021 sounds right. Been thinking though if fit how many minutes do we think he would have played so far this season, and at whose expense?
That's why I don't think he is staying. I really don't think he can get in the team at present. Mahrez and Berny are technically far superior. And Sterling has a more complete game.

Sane has a unique skill set. But he is the least complete of all 4.

problem is, he's going to be better than at least 3 of them...

We let him go, we'll regret it but i just dont see him having the best relationship with Pep and he's obv not willing to warm the bench and wait his turn.
