Said it before, I think he could be a Ronaldo. He has all the attributes to be in the top 2/3 footballers in the world, as well as being a bloody good looking lad, marketable etc etc.

I think from perspectives both on and off the pitch, we HAVE to keep hold.

I may have him wrong but he doesn't appear to me to have anything close to the same hunger Ronaldo had. Everything else yep but Ronaldo reached them levels through dedication and hard graft combined with his natural ability.

Disclaimer, I am not saying he has poor workrate, just not at Ronaldo's levels.

I agree completely. Leroy has it all but I just don't see the hunger that, say Sterling, has. Without that, he'll just be a good player, never a great one.

That's why I don't think he is staying. I really don't think he can get in the team at present. Mahrez and Berny are technically far superior. And Sterling has a more complete game.

Sane has a unique skill set. But he is the least complete of all 4.

Agree with this - but he has an X-factor of speed and explosiveness that make him a match-winner. You will always want him on (particularly late on) in big games to create opportunities - he has been arguably our most effective player in 3 seasons of games with the Scousers. He will spend a fair amount of time as super-sub, but we have so many games and with injuries, etc - he will start plenty of games too. Whether that's good enough for him remains to be seen, but with a good contract bump-up, I think there's at least a decent chance he signs.

If he doesn't sign a new contract he's a fool.
If he leaves for Bayern his career will end up going down hill in my opinion.

To be honest I think over the season or at least until he is fit we will miss him more than many on here think.
He gives us something completely different, he can score but so can others but his assists when he gets in behind the defence and his low cross/pull back from near the touch line causes packed defences nightmares. Sterling also gets a hell of a lot of his goals being on the end of his cross’es.
There were quite a few occasions on sat that we got the ball wide left (usually sterling) and the play just slowed down as we cut or passed inside. It was crying out for Leroy to go at the full back as Everton actually left space for that. Sane gives us something no other player can give us. Games where teams put 11 players behind the ball don’t suit him and he struggles, but teams who leave space to be attacked and he is dynamite.

Really miss watching him play. Especially on nights like this one when we look so static.
Has that magic about him, makes it look so easy.
Will be devastated if/when we lose him to Bayern because I feel we are a genuinely better team when he plays and he is just such a joy to watch.

I agree with the opinions above, especially in UCL games against defensive, hard-to-unlock European sides, Sané is invaluable. If he is back in January then it's relatively good news!

He did have speed, remains to be seen if he has it post injury, he certainly won't have 100% confidence in his knee again. Didn't look like he was needed at Bayern after last's nights demolition of Spurs. He'll be rotated like he is at City

He'll be very fine if he moves to Bayern. Let's not pretend that Bayern are not the huge club, maybe currently not exactly on the top squadwise but they are not just the biggest football club in Germany, they are pretty much German football, they enjoy a status twice higher than Rags ever enjoyed in England. They are ****s, but apart from City having better squad at the moment, it's a hardly a step down.

He'd won titles there, he'd be thereabout in Europe, maybe not top contenders initially but the'll come to that range sooner or later, he'd earn huge money, be Bayern and German poster boy.

He wouldn't have it half bad over there.
