How did he won the young player of the season before Sterling ?

Look, I'm a massive Sane fan and will be over the moon if we keep him because if we're searching for an alternative of a similar age, with similar talent, similar physical attributes and who fits the squad as well as Leroy then we've got more chance of getting shit out of a rocking horse.

However, Sterling fully deserved the young player of the year award ahead of Sane and the vast majority of those who follow us acknowledged that at the time. The difference there was consistency and Leroy's performances were nowhere near as consistent as Raheem's.

That being said, he will find consistency and, barring further injury, will be widely considered as one of the best in the world. I doubt he'll do that with us and that's a big shame.
