This.
Young Schalke keeper Nubel will join Bayern in summer - on a free.

I wouldn't be astonished if that was always part of their strategy for Leroy as well
who could now recover from knee injury for a full season and then join them fully fit for nowt :-/

We really need cover for Raheem, who never has a rest. Another season with an uncommitted Leroy would be a problem.
Maybe that was another reason for Pep's 3-4-3 to involve wing backs and take some load off our wingers.

I hope that if Sane is still here in the summer but he doesn't sign the contract and it looks as though Bayern's strategy is to get him for free, then we start to offer him around to other clubs. That way they would have to either fork out the money for him or risk him going somewhere else.

Only downside is that if another club did get him then they'd have to actually get Sane to sign their contract so he could always refuse, in which case I would just let him sit in the reserves or something

Coutinho made 10 of his 11 bundesliga goals and assists in 4 matches against the last 4 of the table and underperformed in the rest of the matches. He has clearly lost against Müller who apart from 11 assists in 959 minutes against any opposition (has scorers against all of the top 6) offers a lot more in leadership, workrate, defense and even in buildup of the best chances.

I'd be more than surprised if Bayern would pay the exorbitant fee especially as Coutinho earns much more than the other top players. Coutinho was more loaned to show something of the last transfer period after the Sane deal failed.

A third top winger still has top priority. Right now Gnabry is out for minimum the next 2 matches and Coman for the next 4 weeks.

Agreed.
What do you think would be Bayern's limit for Leroy this summer, roundabout?

Are there realistic options (from Bayern's view) to wait for him til 2021 on a free?
(although IMO Leroy wants to leave and not to stay for another year)

As you say Coutinho hasn't the workrate they are looking for, Perisic is just a cover with loan ending in summer.

Shootinho has been exposed for the one trick pony he is.

Pep Guardiola on Leroy Sane: “I want him to come back fit now, his knee looks really good, after that it’s not my business. His own future is not in my hands.”

"I was the one who convinced the club to sign him when he wasn't playing every game at Schalke. What the players want, their families want, their own desires - it's not in my hands."

“It’s a question for Leroy, his agents and the club, I’m not involved. Now he has to recover well, but he knows what we believe."

Wow, doesn't take much to read between the lines on that one

Pretty straightforward stuff that. The kid clearly wants out.

Main thing now for me is his sale price. Do whatever it takes to get the number we want.

Sane is high priority. But I think that with Sane's contract running out and the injury at the end it will be a fair price. I expect Sane to be injury prone for muscle injuries the next season - that is just normal after an ACL - and the clubs know that, too.

No it is not realistic that Bayern would wait - but the possibility of that will influence the price.
