Deal agreed with Bayern Munich for Leroy Sane - €60m (including add-ons)

Not surprising though disappointing. I noted that throughout his injury, I haven't seen him once attend games (maybe he has, but from TV, I've never seen a clip of him and I watch all games) contrary to Laporte and Zinchenko who I've seen in the stands for at least big games.

No it is not realistic that Bayern would wait - but the possibility of that will influence the price.

Bayern's " fair price " based upon their arrogance is likely to be utter shit compared to what they would have had to pay if they had not had their dirty fingers on this saga . They have basically " tapped him up " and you bloody well know it.

Take your Bayern blinkers off ffs .

They have been a fucking disgrace throughout this saga and should be getting hammered for it if UEFA weren't so pathetic in looking after their favoured clubs.
 
Where's he been the last few months, in Manchester or back in Germany? Are players who are recovering from injury required by contract to be checking in at the club or can Pep ok them going off home or a few weeks?
 
I’m not bothered what he or anyone else has or hasn’t said. He’s up there with Bernardo as my favourite player. He’s up there with de Bruyne as the player who, when he gets the ball, you get on the edge of your seat in anticipation of something special or exciting happening like nobody else.

Im going to enjoy every minute we have with him, and hope that he extends with us for longer. If he doesn’t I’ll be fucking devo’d, even moreso than when Shauny Wright left us, but I’d have the same attitude about him as Shaun and wouldn’t think bad of him. It’s a career move and that’s that, he’s just doing a job, he can do that job wherever he wants apart from Stretford and Liverpool, and owes us nothing.

It was obvious from last summer and it was stupid of the club to allow him to play that game with a move on the horizon. Mahrez not being available isn't a good excuse when you have Jesus on the bench (who ended up coming on for him) or a host of academy players that were involved in the pre-season.

We'll be taking a fairly substantial hit on his transfer fee - what would have been a figure of over £100m is now going to be a fair chunk less - probably somewhere around the £60-70m with 1 year left and coming off the back of a significant injury. Money that could have been reinvested into a CB and replacement for Sane, now we'll be looking at a fee which will just cover a top CB.

Club dropped the ball with this. Bayern and Sane are also to blame, but I feel that Pep/the board let their pride get the better of them with this one when it was clear as day he wanted out.
