We have no idea, yet you make up half a dozen strawmen arguments to justify your take and that's fine...
I haven't got an argument, I'm not the one judging him (it was a response to a poster who has called Sane "disrespectful" and questioned his ego and work ethic without any sources of evidence other than pure guesswork on which to base those opinions on. I'm simply giving other potential reasons why he may chose to leave, which would make it far from disrespectful or egotistical.

Our ‘fans’ make me laugh. We sign a player with no affiliation with the club, he helps us win titles and now when he wants to return home we don’t wish him well. Doolally
Yup. I’ve loved watching him play. There’s still so much more he can do, but I wonder if he’ll ever realize his true potential.
Looks like he’s off which is a real shame . I won’t wish him good luck but I won’t hold a grudge either.

Let's remember, Schalke are entitled to ten per cent above our original purchase price of £37m.

Those poor bastards will end up with zero if we do decide to let Sane run down his contract!

They would have been on for about £9m last summer.

£36.99m it is then! ;-)

For me, the real pain comes with the personal opinion he is one of those rare players who can make the difference in an instant and certainly for us.

If he could show application on Ronaldo and Bale levels, he'd be a top five player.

He will never reach those levels though, he’s just a pace merchant, hasn’t got a trick or can beat a man with skill and can’t cross or finish, for toffee ,might as well have Usain Bolt on the left.

They'd have only given him to Bayern for free themselves, like all the other German fuckwit clubs.

Funny parallel in German football to a previous social era. Nasty, corrupt, bullying red team from Munich get the support of wealthy benefactors and crush the previously democratic and openly competitive championship. To stop any uprising or competition they do deals behind the back of their rivals, getting key people to defect to them and financially crippling their opponents in the process. Then they design rules cementing their position and wage a propaganda war to convince the masses its in their own best interests for their competitive league to be destroyed and to support the big red team in any way possible as they wage war in Europe. The only way to survive is through compliance.

Naturally, the leaders are found to have broken the law but oddly enough the justice system seems to go lightly on them so they retain their authority. Then they are a key instrument in a co-ordinated media campaign against a perceived foreign enemy who the German people must unite against to protect their sacred model, the sacred model corrupted so the big red team can manipulate and dominate.

The big red team use this foreign enemy to suppress and control their domestic environment, and take punitive action against this enemy, taking away their freedoms through punitive financial measures and supporting banning them from competition, you see only the purest, virtuous clubs must be allowed to compete.

Then, a war rages and the teams are forced into camps and isolation. Other teams have players that succumb in this war, but the league must be restarted so the mighty red team can win again, because as long as their pureblood squad is ok then their dominance must continue.

Remind you of anything?

Ha ha - very good.

Why cut our nose to spite our face, though? An extra £20m would mean Schalke get just £2m of it.

I heard all this with Tevez and making him rot. Cash is king at the moment and we should just wipe our eye and say goodbye.

This is of the player's making, the club have tried their best for two years.

He far more than just pace, he’ll reach a top level. I actually think he’ll reach a higher level in the right sort of team than he would in a Pep team. Think he would actually look a better player in liverpools team than in a Pep team, he’s as talented if not more than Salah and Mane.
