I don’t know really what to say as I don’t see how it pertains to our discussion other than I’m not sure about Sane being dropped if he didn’t sign for Bayern. That sounds like gossip to me.
Of course it is gossip it was started by ex bayern and German internationals based in Bayern`s board room, as quoted in all German press, and like i say was not dismissed by the national team manager, as for the rest The German FA actively persue their market leader top of the table by allowing them to cherry pick, among st other things much like ours

Bayern do far more than just cherry pick, when Union came up their first match against Red Bull the fans turned their backs on the rich upstarts, German media is so far up Bayerns arse that they believe a Bayern team at the top of the table is good for Germany, much like the FA have told us, even Low did not deny that Sane would be dropped if he did not sign for Bayern

"Sensible", or not, you are discussing/debating Bayern's sense of entitlement with a fan of team that has a similar sense of entitlement, Liverpool. Of course, to him, Bayern can do whatever they please. They are "big club" part of the old guard like his club.

Can't have any of these "nouveau" clubs taking what is rightfully ours, we have history by damn! Isn't that right my Bavarian brother? I couldn't have said it better my red dipper brother.

My point is though that the biggest teams in any country have always cherrypicked the ones they really want. You’ve done it, we’ve done it, United have done it, the list goes on. The hard fact is that players will always want to play for top teams if they can. When some clubs come calling, it’s hard to turn them down, especially if they’re giving you a leg up onto the top table.

Look at liverpool.

Southampton is like a feeder club for them

Who has City cherry picked in recent memory?

Sterling was a pain in the dick, thanks to your club. By the way, is he still getting death threats from Merseyside?

Kevin was not easy. The Mahrez saga wasn't simple by any means. Dealing with Levy for Walker was no walk in the park.

There is a difference between having your trousers pulled down and bent over a barrel because Bayern, and it's players, the DFB, and the coach of Die Mannschaft are whispering in your player's ear for two years and having to pay up or decide walk away because the money for value isn't there.

Not sure how you define biggest as that does not apply to your team on many levels, but generally teams that win things can afford better players but that is not what Bayern have done, the German media and FA have manipulated Bayern as market leader

Transfers, even the ones that should be routine, rarely happen like that. They’re drawn out processes on both sides, the seller especially because they usually don’t want to lose the player. In every single instance above, you secured every player. If you think that every German club who sells to Bayern just rolls over and has their belly tickled, I think it’s a little naive. The odd one might, but this is a serious money game. They take your player but you’re going to make sure that they pay every euro possible for him. Exactly the same in this country. Look at Spurs getting a world record fee for Kyle Walker. Very good player indeed, but not necessarily the best in the world at the time. Ditto Southampton for Van Dijk.

It’s cyclical and prestige. Because of our history, we’re generally, and I say generally, a reasonable draw. At the moment, like you, we can attract just about anyone. But for all our consistent success in the 60s, 70s & 80s, United’s for the next twenty and yours in the last decade, Bayern have been on top over there for nearly all that period. Add in their history and that’s a hell of a club to topple. Add in that their clubs have nowhere near our TV wealth and it’s even harder. They may be the poster boys of the league, but they’ve earned it fair and square with decades and decades of world class players and trophies.

You said City have "cherry picked " players. Cherry picking is supposed to be relatively simple. If you go all Miriam-Webster on me and quote the Dictionary saying "Cherry Picking means taking the best available option", no shit. All teams take the best available option. But I suspect in this case you meant we make easy meals out of getting whatever players we want.

Do teams roll over for Bayern? Yes, for the most part.
