I do think so. But let's say we weren't. Squad uncertainty is not good. We need to plan ahead and plan well, that's always been our way, we cannot have a situation where another season drags on for Sané and he's barely interested then leaves for peanuts when we could've really cashed in for him, now at least he commits we know we're good for another 3-4 years. Much different scenario then.
There was no way we were going to almost double our record fee on an unproven kid, we don't operate like that.
I take your point re uncertainty but there's no need to panic just yet, we'll likely sit back down for talks with Sane, if we can't agree a deal then put plans in place to replace him next summer, and he won't be sold for peanuts either, less than what it would be this summer no doubt but we'll still pull in a decent fee next summer.
