Pep always holds the same stance - if a player doesn't buy into what we do or want to be here he goes, simple. If it's true that he will not sign to stay on then so be it. 100m euros is about right with him having 2 years left - For us that money will be reinvested into the squad, maybe not immediately, but the reality is we need to be thinking about replacing Sergio within 2 years and that will cost a hell of a lot more. We have cover for Sane already and I'm sure we may sign one more this window anyhow. It could all change if a ban occurs but I trust the club who seem to have a long term view of succession planning. Finally I've really enjoyed watching Leroy over the past 3 years and I wish him well back in Germany unlike some on here.

I mean that he was not really instrumental in the way we play. He is an option for us to utilize when we need the final ball. His numbers are inflated because of silva and kevin, without them he will not be getting those numbers. he has failed to improve because of his attitude and by no means instrumental to us. we are just loosing a option we might need sometimes and hence we need to replace him instead of making us weaker.
Haha on that rational every one who scores and assists only do it because of the others, centurians season it was sane and raz, devastating down both sides,he was very much instumental,no need to rewrite history

He's become an option now but he was vital for us for 18 months until things soured. His numbers are unbelievable.

Can you tell me who that is? left footed player with pace that can play on the left side?

well we wont be winning the CL if we keep reducing our options and not replacing them.
Why ? have we got less options than last years finalists ? When you say keep reducing, you have no idea whether he’ll be replaced and if he isn’t it’ll be the only time so we don’t keep reducing options.
Maybe with Cancelo rumoured and Angelino in as Mendy back up we will play a different way and want our wide players to play inside like Bernardo , Sterling and Mahrez are capable of more than Sane.Or do you think Pep and the club are just winging it, and haven’t given it much thought.

Nowhere near enough.

City would be mad to sell to Bayern.

To give him away for less than £120 million would be as stupid as giving Mangala an extension.

Imagine if somebody had said a few months ago you will give Sane to Bayern and extend the contract of Mangala.

This can’t be happening.

€20m a year is £350,000.

He's currently on £60k/week and the latest City offer was reported at £150k.

As long as they pay £100m then I think we can be OK with this, it's just annoying it's happened in August not June.

Sad to say, but he obviously wants to go home otherwise BM wouldn't have bothered making a bid. Like has been said, he never seemed to really bust a gut for us so maybe he would never become a 'pep' player anyway. Lets hope he becomes another Sturridge.

At the end of the day, when Dembele went to Barcelona for around 100 million euros plus add one, he was 20, had just had an incredible season with Dortmund, establishing himself as an undisputed star of the team, and Barca had 200m in their back pocket from the sale of Neymar.

Sane is 23, is playing at a higher level in a tougher league but is not a regular starter, and has only 2 years left on his contract. When Dortmund sold Dembele, he had only signed the season prior so had a long term contract.

Mbappe, when sold by Monaco, had 2 years left on his contract, just pike Sane. However, unlike Sane, he wouldn't have been able to move on a free at the end of his contract, instead Monaco would have been entitled to a small fee. Also, Mbappe was 18 and had just torn us, and Dortmund, apart in the Champions League. He cost PSG around 150m pounds.

Just thought I'd provide a little more context.

I know people want £120m-£150m for him but I felt earlier on that the range would be £80m-£90m from Bayern, so £91m... I really don’t think we could have expected more than that. He’s not signing a new deal and wants to leave. Plus Bayern are more frugal than the likes of Madrid, Barca, PSG etc. Of course we want more, but this is about the highest fee we can get for him. He only wants Bayern.
