If he hasn’t extended his contract by the end of the summer, or even the middle of it, the attention will have to shift to selling him for as much as possible. We can’t risk his value plummeting as his contract runs down. So yeah, it’s a decisive moment right now for Sané’s City future.

Doesn't feel like it at the moment.

He's in and out of the team, when he does start it's 50/50 whether he'll be incredible or invisible, it feels like he's always the first player subbed off.

He's not developed the consistency we need from him and he's fallen down the pecking order because of it.

I hope he signs a new deal and stays here 10 years while becoming the best in the world, but it just doesn't feel likely.

Bayern, Real, Barca (they lack quality LW) will be interested I think, so Leroy holds all the cards.

I am a little bit concerned about Leroys future at the club and have a feeling that he could move on in a couple of years, does anyone else share that view?

He seems to be stalling on a new contract, with a report this morning that his mother is getting involved.
I also think Pep doesn’t fully trust in him yet or Leroy isnt taking in as much as he should be doing, i was sat behind the dugout on Tuesday and Pep was absolutely fuming with him in the first 25 mins, I thought he was going to haul him off.
Then I look at Madrid and they are in desperate need of a overhaul and Zidane wouldn’t of come back without promises of funds.
Anyway I’m going to make a prediction I’ll be gutted about this summer I can see him going to Madrid in a £150m mega deal which will help us round FFP in getting a world class DM @ maybe a striker.
All that goes out the window if we get banned from signing anyone obviously.
We are not a selling club.
I think that Leroy will stay, he is going to be a main player for us.

All comps

No consistency?

Starts 25
Sub 10
Goals 14
Assists 13

If he doesn't stay with us I can see every top European club wanting to sign him.

He's not consistent. Quoting goal stats over a season doesn't disprove that. We've seen it in the past weeks.

Plays well when subbed on vs. Schalke, then is poor vs. West Ham and gets pulled 5 minutes after half time, dropped for Bournemouth, Great vs. Schalke.

If you think Sané is consistent I don't know what you've been watching. He is unstoppable at his best but we only see that every few games and that's why he's on the bench every other game while Bernardo and Sterling can be relied on to be a 7/8/9 every time they're picked.

I think people are overstating his inconsistency though, it's almost become cliche.

He's got the potential to do for us what Ronaldo did for the rags.

It's imperative we keep him. Like others have said Real and other rivals are sniffing around him.

Desperately hope he stays because I absolutely love the lad, he’s perfect for us and our style and gives us great balance with Sterling on the other side.

I don’t know another player in world football who has got the same skill set, he’s irreplaceable like for like. That said we all know the club is bigger than any individual, if and I hope he never does leave then we’ll adapt and bring in someone with a slightly different skill set and play to their strengths instead.

Exactly that. Players like him don't grow on trees. Along with Raz and Bernie, he gives us a near perfect quiver of arrows. All different, all hugely effective. I want him signed up as soon as possible

It has and so has this thing about his attitude. Neither are true.

Sané is no less consistent than anyone and there’s no evidence he has an attitude problem.

But then fans do make weird judgements. Loads gave Sterling MOTM on Saturday yet apart from the three times the ball left his foot and hit the net it was his worst performance for about two and a half years.

Sané has the odd bad game. But no more than Silva it Sterling or Stones does and certainly less than Walker or Mendy (when fit) have.
