what his value to the club long term losing him ?? the £200million is cheap as chip in todays market, the lad is a special player and a super star in the making just needs to settle down and play because he is fast and scores

No it's not. It's what you wish. But that's not market value.
If you are not willing to analyse a transfer from both clubs' sides you will not end up at a realistic value.

Get all factors in the equation, not only those you like while ignoring others you don't like.
Analysing market value for a certain player at a certain time would mean listing up ALL influencing factors,
City's, Leroy's and Bayern's. Not on emotion, on cold facts.

On top there's a very difficult private situation where we have zero information. Nada. Nothing.

To me it seems that Leroy really hasn't decided up to now and that's why Bayern are waiting to bid
and City can do nothing else than repeat and repeat we want him to stay.

The more I think about this the more I think selling this summer would be a massive mistake.

If we keep him then :

+ He helps us this season. He can't sulk or be unhelpful because he needs to play regularly to make it to Euro 2020. It's too late to replace him so selling him just leaves us shorthanded.

+ Bayern may be forced into buying someone. They can't challenge for the CL with the current lineup of forwards, Dortmund are catching them up domestically. They might be forced to sign someone like Nicolas Pepe for €70m+ and end up not needing Sané in 12 months time.

+ He might decide he wants to stay. He might fight his way into the starting line up through form or someone else's injury, he might end up marrying the girlfriend and listen to her instead of his parents.

+ He might earn a better contract offer by playing brilliantly and end up signing that.

+ Other clubs might become interested if we still want to sell in summer 2020. Which means we might not have to sell to Bayern, and there might be a bidding war.

- We might get less money. If the club sticks to a £100m asking price this summer then we might only get 75% of that next summer, Hazard set the market for players with 1 year left when he moved for £100m. Unless Leroy has an incredible season, he won't go for quite that much.

However, it's worth remembering that we might have a transfer ban in 2020, and getting £100m this year is pretty much a waste, we can't buy a replacement now and next summer we won't be able to. If we sold him after 1/7/2020 though, the fee would count towards the 20/21 books, and could set us up to make a massive splash in Summer 2021. The summer Aguero leaves. The summer Mbappé's contract goes down to 1 year remaining...

Given that the former giants Bayern, rags and Liverpool are yapping like chihuahuas round our heels, particularly over our transfer targets, and in the case of Bayern, our German players, does anyone else think Gundo might be headed there ?

Bayern Munich do not have the money to sign Sane at Today’s transfer rates.

And if they have, they will not pay anywhere near what Sane is worth.

Bayern, the dirty German Rags, have done there best to unsettle Sane, promise him the Earth, hoping he will cause trouble at City, and then they will put in a disgusting offer for Sane, hoping City will buckle and let him move.

Bayern’s biggest transfer up to date was for Lucas Hernandez, who cost them 80mill Euros. Or £75mill pound.

So how much do you think Bayern will offer for Sane, if 80mill Euros for Lucas Hernandez is their record transfer buy?

Sorry but this is ridiculous. You're trying to suggest the fact they spent €80m on a centreback/left back to claim they won't spend €110m/£100m on a winger who they have publicly said will be the face of the club and the stand out player of his generation in Germany. A player that everyone from the directors to the managers has been publicly begging to come.

They have the money. They've gone on record many times in the past 2 years saying they can/will spend over €100m on someone and they're waiting for the right player.

City know this, City and Bayern know they can't go into next season with the current line up of wingers. They will end up paying what City want, or he won't move.

Gundogan has free transfer to Juventus written all over him.

Need to start getting players on 6 year contracts.

What we actually need to do is take a leaf from United (not often you can say that), 5 + 1 year (with the year being the club's decision) is a great way to do it IMO.

Would certainly strengthen our hand in this scenario.

Said this before, not sure if this would mean needing to give them higher wages, but they should want to play for us long-term, not run down their contracts. Even Gundogan is running his down.

Maybe, but the latest seems to be the club expect him to sign a new deal. Silva and Fernandinho are likely both leaving in 12 months time, he knows he'll be playing more.

Also Juve's wage bill at the moment is at breaking point. They've overloaded a bit and Gundogan's role is one they have several players for already (Pjanic, Ramsey, Can, Bentancur). Wouldn't make sense IMO for them to add another big salary for a free signing into that position.
