Given that the former giants Bayern, rags and Liverpool are yapping like chihuahuas round our heels, particularly over our transfer targets, and in the case of Bayern, our German players, does anyone else think Gundo might be headed there ?

He’s disliked in Germany

Personally i’m Getting a bit sick of Bayern & Sane , if City were doing what they are doing by publicly unsettling a player we would get slaughtered & rightly so , Munich do it ...not a peep. Before anyone says...these are negotiations, Sane’s in a strong position etc etc , I know this but still think he’s treating City & City fans abysmally, a few words would help but no he’d rather treat us like twats.

And maybe you are falling for part of the Bayern tactics by thinking/feeling like this. There is no doubt that if Bayern could get city fans to turn on Sane then that would hasten his departure. Maybe this is a very small part of their thinking in all of this that by being very public about their deisre to sign Sane and inturn knowing that very few players (f any) will publicly react one way or another to transfer rumours/gossip or even facts, this will then raise the anxiety/negative feelings of fans.....and have a knock on effect....

Think if it this way...Sane may want to stay at city but he also wants more money and playing time to do so...This is the way of footballers...its common. We may not like it when the vast majority of fans are just working class people on working class wages and we in turn look at these multi millionaires getting padi vastly more sums of money per week than we get in a year......do you think it takes much in that case to turn a hero to a villan -it doesnt -it just needs a nudge, enough doubt in the average fans mind to start this process and so it builds and that is what Bayern are doing....they are publically courting Sane (and thats the only bit that i dont get -why arent they hauled up for this?) in the hope of driving a wedge between fans and player......which it will do if we arent careful.

Of course Sane may want to leave...if he does we let him go as Pep says....We all would think going to a one team league would be a stupid move..i cannt imagine any fan would disagree but he is german and the desire to be more recognised in his homeland could be huge.....the lack of playing time inthe naional team will also play into his thinking and we know the German national team is quite insular in the way it operates with histrocially at least i think the national team being made up mostly of players from the german league -thi doesnt help our cause and Munich will know this.

What we actually need to do is take a leaf from United (not often you can say that), 5 + 1 year (with the year being the club's decision) is a great way to do it IMO.

Would certainly strengthen our hand in this scenario.

Surely you have to pay any option by higher wages, which isn't what we want.

And generally we want to convince players THIS is the best club for them.
A 1 year option doesn't make sense if the player wasn't happy. It would be against our philosophy.

No Chance, Turkish decent and hated because of it.

Said this before, not sure if this would mean needing to give them higher wages, but they should want to play for us long-term, not run down their contracts. Even Gundogan is running his down.

Gundogan is negotiating with City, he hasn't decided.
I hope he stays.
But he's a business man. Juve could be a good shout, at least he will try to use that threat to maximize wage demands.

It's so important for Txiki that we already have a great depths in the squad and have Pep to develop replacements.
This way we can have a cap in our wage offers, like for Leroy (as it seems).
We won't be easily milked by players.

Maybe, but the latest seems to be the club expect him to sign a new deal. Silva and Fernandinho are likely both leaving in 12 months time, he knows he'll be playing more.

Also Juve's wage bill at the moment is at breaking point. They've overloaded a bit and Gundogan's role is one they have several players for already (Pjanic, Ramsey, Can, Bentancur). Wouldn't make sense IMO for them to add another big salary for a free signing into that position.

Don't think Diniho will be going anywhere for the next few years. Unless he drops off rapidly he fitness levels could see him play into his late 30's

The public courting of Leroy Sané by Bayern Munich is irking Pep Guardiola, who had hoped for a greater level of respect from his former employers. Leroy Sané's girlfriend Candice Brook, is becoming increasingly vocal in the situation too. [@Jack_Gaughan]

Bayern Munich are willing to pay Leroy Sané more than £200,000 a week. His mum, Regina Weber, has proven obstructive in contract negotiations over extending a deal that runs until 2021 and Sane is unlikely to sign.

Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić has started fundamental negotiations with Manchester City for Leroy Sané during their US tour. Bayern will work on the transfer again in the coming days. City want a decision before August 8th. [@SPORTBILD via @iMiaSanMia]

I would be bringing the deadline forward to this weekend ( I know that probably won't happen) because if Leroy does go he will need replacing imo.

Yep.

Leroy do you want to go or not?

If yes then on the phone to Bayern with the price and ask do they want to pay or not.
