I am starting to think that letting Sane go would not be the worst move for us, assuming we get £100 million as a minimum.

Sterling appears to prefer the left hand side, hopefully Mahrez comes back full of confidence and we also have Bernardo who can slot in as well.

Selling him free's up a foriegn spot that we could use to sign a replacement for Kompany.

Tintin likes a run up and down the right too.

How do you know how much we're offering?
A recent example, the reported salary that Joao Felix will earn is nowhere near 300k a week and he has at least a similar potential to Sane.
Sane is 23 and should be approaching his peak in the next season or two, the time for talking about his potential is almost over. Sterling has gone past the potential stage Sane hasn’t yet.

Get what you are saying but my point is a player worth top money should be paid top dollar. One thing for certain he's worth more than what we are offering.

This lad is going to be unreal.

We don't really know whether he will be ever able to surpass Sterling and Bernardo. Right now he isn't as good as them and is more of a squad player. Pep has trained some of the most talented players in history, he knows a talent when he sees one. He knows also what it takes to develop your talent and have the right mentality to apply it and flourish. Txiki and Pep know their job. They'll do what is good for the club. One can't make a squad player one of the higherst earners in the team. Doesn't make sense. If Sane wins his starting place back and shows he deserves to be paid 250k or even 300k a week, we'll be happy to reaward him with a top top contract. Not now though.

Maybe Bayern thought that we'd sell relatively cheaply because Sane isn't a firm starter. They've been foolish though. We're not really pressed to sell now and for what they are ready to pay. We'll humiliate them if they pay us 140m for a squad player. Which is 80 fecking millions above our own transfer record.

Not sure I agree with people saying he is going to be unreal, he is 23, 24 in January, so not like he's 18-19 year old. He's an inconsistent 23 year old who if he really was going to be unreal would be showing it at LEAST every other game, which he doesn't. At his best he is sublime, bit it just doent happen often enough.

Suddenly there is an air of desperation around Bayern Munich. We are going to hammer them, either by keeping Sane out of their hands, at a very late hour in the transfer market, or by forcing them to play well over the odds for our player.

According to Der Spegil, via SportWhitness, that the deal is done for €100m Euros and he wont play for City today.

I suspect that story is complete bollox, so let's wait and see. My guess is he will play today and City will hold out for another 2 years rather than let Bayern cherry pick any of our players.
£135m + no loyalty bonus will be the City stand.

To tell everyone £137m in the press and then sell for £91m would be pathetic so I can't believe it's true.

again all very good points, but who asks 137m for a squad player.... unless they value him that highly. play him and pay him city, hoof Marhez instead.
