And look at this from Bayern's perspective. Here's a club who's record signing prior to Hernandez was £37m. They've been critical of "the oil clubs" and City in particular and our "limitless" wealth destroying football. And people are thinking Bayern will hand over £100m+ of their hard-earned cash to line City's coffers? Not a chance.

The only way this deal was ever going to happen was if we sold Sané on the cheap, which of course Bayern were expecting us to do. Unless we cave in, the deal is dead as a dodo.

I trust Soriano and Txiki to make fair contract offers. They aren't stingy, and we've not had anyone leave for money as long as they've been here.

The offer they make Sané will be based on his position in our squad, which at the moment is basically the 12th man.

Bayern might want to make him the face of German football, and pay a huge fee based on what he might become, but City will pay him based on what he is to the squad today.

closer this drags to the end of the window, the less chance of it happening, which is fine by me, just hope Leroy is a big boy about it and doesn't sulk. From watching Bayern last night from a footballing point of view why would Leroy even bat an eye lid at them. You want to be part of something special stay here as it probably going to get even more interesting this season.
