I'm of the opinion that Leroy hasn't been starting because he has not been in form. It does seem that, whoever you are, if you're off form you are not playing unless Pep has no real alternative.

I'm a huge fan of Sane & think he will be one of the top few players in the world, if he takes the next step like Sterling has, but he has to grab the game for himself when things are not quite working, not get anxious & lose focus, as he did when given the chance.

He really should have left Pep with no option but to pick him for this run in, he is that good.

But in the last game, Gabriel Jesus outclassed him in every aspect of football when he came on.

Not really true. Walker has been playing this season despite awful form, especially first part of the season. Danilo played good when given the chance.

also its difficult to play yourself into form when you barely play

Not a single quote from his Mum or Leroy, his agent or the club in any of those articles. The Daily Mail story is reported as the source for 2 of the articles so they’re just regurgitating the story and quote the Mail as the source for their stories so that’s 3 of the 5 articles based on nothing.
The other “source” is goal for the other 2 links, one being the article published by goal which you’ve posted and the other regurgitating the story from goal but again no quotes. So that 5 links, 3 of which quote the other 2 as their source.
I’m calling bullshit, you don’t really think Goal or the Daily Mail are correct here when all they say are things like “sources close to the Daily Mail believe”...... “it is rumoured that”?
Of course Leroy will listen to his parents when discussing his future, we already know they met with Pep/the club before coming here but that doesn’t amount to her stalling contract negotiations.

At one point when Leroy miscontrolled the ball and allowed it to go out of play, Pep went nuts on the touchline

Looks like something ain’t quite right between them at the moment

Hope it can be sorted out cos it would be shit to see a talent like that lost to another team

When hasn’t Pep gone mental at someone for anything they do wrong?

Haha! He was so mad he just turned and started to walkaway, back to the bench, but after two steps he turned around and tried to gee him up! It was a simple lack of control that comes from a lapse in concentration. THAT is what Pep was angry about.

Leroy and Raz have a great relationship and one only needs to look at how Raz has improved to see that Leroy can be better and even more deadly. However, that is going to take “shaping” his natural game (after all, he is being paid to do what the coach says, this isn’t Hough End with the lads!) into one that improves his weaknesses, harnessing his abilities and showing them only when appropriate to the situation. In short, he has to learn to be a world class player, because he has the raw talent to get there if he is willing to learn so that he can improve.

Had a conversation with the wife about Sane and she hit the nail on the end. On his day, when I’m form, he’s better than Sterling. Problem is he’s just far far too inconsistent. The frustrating bit it’s usually the basics that lets him down; control or work effort. Sometimes decision making which okay comes with maturity.

That true. Hopefully I read too much into it

He can be one of the top 5 players in the world, if he wants to, and Pep is the right manager to make him get there

Would be tragic to see him not grasp his opportunity and move on to another club
