What has Sane done to justify a price over that value? Those thinking he is worth £135m-£180m have left the lid of a few too many marker pens methinks

The value of Sane as an asset is judeged by City, not by you.

His previous two seasons have produced numbers similar, if not better to Eden Hazard, who has just moved for around €100m with only one year left on his contract and is considerably older than Sane in footballing terms.

No one really knows how much City are holding out for, but looking at the Hazard example above, it suggests that Sane should command a higher fee than Hazard, given that in both examples, only one club were interested in buying.

City played this like a fucking boss. We let Bayern whole summer to sound like desperate teenage girl who failed in love with global rock star, then 10 days before window's closing, make them to apologize from fear their lovesickness might jeopardize the deal, just to put the price tag they won't met or if they do, they pay what they didn't even dream to have to pay.

We humiliated them without saying a word in public. It's new game rules, you fucking german rags.
What ? Our clueless management team did this ?

If we get offered anything above 70m for Sane we should bite their hands off!

Joao Felix went for 115 and Sane has done far more than that kid. 135 for sane is appropriate in my book

You could argue that City are over-valuing his intrinsic value, but there really is no such thing. Transfers are set by buyer and seller. I suspect that if Bayern had played ball, and maybe offered City players we might be interested in right at the outset, we might have played ball.

This might be an irrational move by City to be honest if you consider the future, but how do we know how close City are to agreeing a deal with Sane, so best not to go there.

Sane has shown flashes of potential but his record isn't all that great and for me, he hasn't improved enough to give confidence that he will come good, and he's been given enough time now.

Add to the mix his questionable mentality and general attitude i.e. he's the sulky kind... then I really think we should cash in while Bayern are interested.

He as also showed how good he can be ,hes young and alot to learn yet, he as all the attributes to be the best and be serious if rags can get anywhere near 75 mill for lukaku city should be looking at well over 100 mill for sane ,but players like him we need to keep

There are so many variables, that it makes any strong debate moot. City will base their value on the information they know and what it would mean if we were to lose Sane and what it would cost to bring in the replacement we were deemed to need as a result, whatever the position.
