Exactly - 2 excellent fullbacks are a luxury; 2 brilliant centre-halfs a necessity. The only thing tonight convinced me off was that we need to sack Mendy off and aquire a partner for Laporte.

Pep‘s biggest mistake. Sterling can do what he wants now he‘s always going to play.
We're paying him 60 grand a week and you don't win anything with players who don't want to play for your club.
These people bending over for some last hurrah from Leroy are pathetic. He's laughing all the way to his 20m euro signing bonus for Bayern having successfully driven his transfer fee down.
He's just had 3 months off

He's saying that no matter what performance level Sterling puts in, he will always be pickedWhat?
Noooo! Don't twist the context. He has a 5 year contract at the club. He is fine fulfilling the contract. But he has no interest in re-uping for more years. So this is not about Wanting or not Wanting to be at a club. He is simply not interested in signy for any longer than his current contract stipulates. No he doesn't have to ask, but why did he not ask to leave a club he doesn't want to be at if he really believes his career was going into stagnation. The only reason I won't wish him good luck is because of the odious club his representatives seem to have colluded with, although I wouldn't want our supporters treating him the way Liverpool treated Raheem.
It's a sarcastic way to respond to someone who had no point. It’s a bit weird to answer your own question, verging on the arrogant

It's like telling a person who signed a 5 year lease, why not ask to quit the lease after 3 years if you know you don't want to be here for an extra 5.
That makes no sense. He doesn't want out, he just doesn't want to continue after his contract is fulfilled.
Now if City wants to get rid of him before his contract is up, that's up to City.
There is no win with a player who wants to leave. We need to stop pretending there is.
Bayern are willing to pay him more and even though he wants to join them he has not asked for a move. He's wasted a significant part of his career, that's his right and his choice, but presumably the money he has lost out on will be more than clawed back when he moves. No one is denying any players right to run down a contract and move, especially if he was treated badly but when a club has invested a huge amount of money in someone and looked after their every need, don't you think the club deserves something back.Noooo! 1. He didn't waste ANY, talk less 'a significant', portion of his career. He was a key young developing player for the first 3 years of his career here.Bayern are willing to pay him more and even though he wants to join them he has not asked for a move. I have powerful blue lenses but I am still able to give a rival credit where it is due. I don't believe Sane, his representatives or Bayern deserve any at all. Let's just agree to disagree.1. He didn't waste ANY, talk less 'a significant', portion of his career. He was a key young developing player for the first 3 years of his career here.
2. In the last year, he has become disfavored by the manager. For good reason, others have been better.
3. Based on the abive trajectory and the significant interest from other equally big clubs he doesn't see it as in his best interest to continue here.
Point 3 is so obvious, that even the thickest blue lenses shouldn't blind anyone.
4. As for what the club deserves from him. The club deserves a level of professionalism. Show up, do his job and don't be an embarrassment to the club outside. He has been all that. As for getting something back, the club doesn't "deserve" that. You get significant money back if a player wants to break his contract early or another club wants him badly after a few years.
However, if the player performs under his contract. That is all he owes the club. He is not from City nor did he come thru the City youth ranks. He was just a fantastic young player City bought from another team.
He hasn't become the key player he hoped to be, so he has to go try somewhere else. He owes us nothing. If we wanted more from him, we should have sold him the minute he did not re-sign.
I know its goal.com. One of the most fake football news site but still we may see him next year too sitting on our bench

If he stays another year and is sparingly used, I don’t think he’ll ever fulfil his potential after 2 big years of his development effectively missed.
Said the same. If I was Sane I would be asking a few questions about highly they value me?well. Sport1 is saying the same and they have some reporters who are basically fans of Munich. We‘ll see but I can actually seeing them doing this how greedy they are. If Sané wasn‘t born in Germany he would probably be mad now and cancel a transfer. Why would I move to a club that don‘t wanna invest enough into me.
