Dean Ashton retires and is wanting to sue SWP and Chelsea

Came back after the injury to play loads of games and score goals so I can't see this sue SWP and Cheski happening. Just typical crap that you see every day on the box with ambulance chasing 'no win no fee' graspers.

Good player but as the saying goes (and from an Eagles song), "get over it".
 
I used to really rate Ashton and wanted to sign him at the time Norwich and West Ham did. It's a real shame he has to retire but he shouldn't be a prick about SWP. SWP hasn't a bad bone in his body and would never do this deliberately.
 
To be fair to Dean Ashton he hasn't said anything about suing anyone. This sounds, once again, like paper talk and the media trying to drum up trouble/business!!

Shame about Dean as it always is when a player has to retire too young. It happened to our own legend Paul Lake.
 
Its a great shame. Like most so far despite the lack of pace I would have liked him here.

I agree also that he would have no case against SWP as it was in Training and he played another thirty games after.

I wish him well.
 
Keegan did not sign Ashton because they were worried about his lack of pace .I think KK tegretted not signing him
 
Apart from the fact that they have a little money, how are Chelsea liable for an injury to Ashton, at an England training camp. We all know that the law works in the most illogical way at times but this is just a joke - good chance he'll clean up then.
 
Great player, great guy, huge City fan, what a shame at the age of 26 with his peak infront of him he has to retire

He had the talent to play for a top club
