Exactly. Embrace what we have now. Be greatful that we are in the position we are today. One of my favourite city moments is York away on a fucking freezing Saturday and seeing us get beat. I was with my dad and I fell in love with city. I started to be a serious fan and learning to understand the whole city thing. My first game was 94. I've never looked back since. It's been the best ride of my life.

I'm still trying to figure out what she found embarrassing. Was it the fact we weren't in the top flight? The fact Leeds, (a huge club), qualified for the champs league? The last few years are the weird ones - the previous 35 years rollercoaster is the norm.

We put up with it because it was our club and we loved them come what may.Sure we protested,sang ''What the fuck is going on??'' and ''Your not fit to wear the shirt!!'',fans ran on the pitch and remonstrated with players,one even ripped his season ticket up on the pitch as we were getting beaten at home to Bury...but we staill came back the next week for more.
We had some laughs along the way,some tears,even a bit of excitement in promotions,but generally we were shit most of the time.What it did do was form an iron will,a self depreciating sense of humour and loyalty amongst us.Rags couldn't understand how we used to turn up week after week,i know i had some ask me why in disbelief on more than one occasion!
It seemed the worse we got,the louder we sang and the more we laughed.Mad,bad,crazy,happy/unhappy times.A mirror of life in general.Supporting a succesful club was the easy way out and lots took it.Real people,real fans chose and stuck with City and we are now getting our reward.
I still can't believe we were in the wilderness for so long,that WAS criminal!When i stood on the terraces at Wembley and saw us lift the league cup in 1976,never did i dream it would be over 35 years before we won another trophy!
I am proud of our loyalty,our humour and going through the dark days,i just wish they wouldn't have lasted so fucking long,lol!!!
