Dear Manchester city ticket office SSL1 safe standing isn't

I used to love being a little pipsqueak scuttling about in the Kippax with all the tall people. I didn't see much of the game itself. Didn't do me any harm, i managed to see enough. If only that was nowadays I could have been able to claim some compo. Hmm iv woke up cynical.
I had a couple of years in the standing kippax before it was turned into an all seater as a very young child, must have been 5/6 used to get there early enough so I could sit myself above the exits, the only place I could actually see, got knocked off in one surge from the crowd down what was probably at least a 10ft drop but seemed like a chasm to me at that age. no idea how I didn't suffer any substantial injury, pretty sure I just scurried back up but it's fair to say in current times I'd have been in for fairly hefty payout.

Everton and Liverpool used to have big iron railing cages in a top corner behind one of the goals just for kids. Went in it once, it was bloody horrible. Thought I was being clever getting in for half price, never did it again.

Can you confirm which stand you are referring to as SSL1 isn’t the family stand.
SSL1 the south stand

families with small kids should go in the family stand AKA NSL1, I was saying the club should just not sell tickets in the south stand for ages up to 12 in my opinion

Also those saying the kippax was fine for it, old terrace and safe standing are different, sitting your kid on the rails of the kippax and them having to stand on a seat is not the same

I totally agree keep the kids out of the south stand. It was/is supposed to be for the more vociferous supporters. We have a family stand for kids. Was that sold out, is that why you ended up in the south stand?
