Just for a start how about this nutter in Nottingham who stabbed to death the two students and the 65 year old school caretaker.

Shoot the fucker (along with that twat ho mowed down that soldier coming out of his barracks before killing him with a machette), save taxpayers money looking after them

I think the condemned should be able to choose their own demise, just like they do with their last meal. Whatever they want, then the state should accommodate .. ones man's poison and all that.

For me, my own three choices of capital punishment in order of preference, would be an overdose of general anaesthetic, then a Firing squad, then Nitrogen asphyxiation. If the Alabama chap hadnt of held his breath then it would have been over in seconds.

Last meal to be a KFC bargain bucket, 3 Bavarian cream vanilla slices followed by a XL portion of Carte Dor chocolate chip mint ice cream. That is all:

Read he was gassed because they failed to find a vein first time they tried to off him , i dont understand that , a central line into his neck is a sure fire way in or drilling into the marrow of a bone is fine , the rules must not allow either of those i guess

Nobody with any medical training wants anything to do with the death penalty, so they end up having to use untrained staff. There are nurses who do it every day who struggle to find a vein sometimes. How much practice can someone on death row get? One execution every few years?

The criminally insane have never been executed in this country, except during the last few years of the reign of the vile tyrant Henry VIII.

So you can take it as read we would never execute the insane, and that covers a fair proportion of the worst killers.

I would not object in principle, if it could be demonstrated that our judicial system never made an error. However, I would start with corrupt politicians, especially those who take money from hostile foreign powers.

Can really understand whats the United States problem really don’t they make ropes anymore, quick end and i’m sure they don’t have to be over skilled.

Not as clean as you think. There's quite a bit of maths involved. Get the drop too low and the person's neck doesn't break and they're left struggling until they slowly strangle to death. Get the drop too high and you can take their head off. The height of the drop is determined by the person's weight. They'd need to get some professional bungee jumping experts in, me thinks.

I remember Michael Portillo did a good documentary on it a while ago where he concluded, I think, that nitrogen was the way to go. Although the events in Alabama the other day suggest otherwise.
