Anyone recommend any decent books. Im going away next week and want a good read. Ive read most City books out on the market

Any inspiring autobiographies?
Any Fictional recommendations?
True Crime?
Manchester Music books?

Said b4 on this forum the Alex Higgins autobiography is a great read (and fitting), also try reading George Orwell, not the books they made you read in skool but 'The Road to Wigan Pier' or even better 'Down & Out in London & Paris'.

One off the best fiction books I've read is the "Game of thrones" by George R R Martin

Seconded. Not exactly an easy read but very very good.

I'd recommend anything by Bill Bryson or just a visit to Waterstones before you go.
