Sullivan wants the 100 million in 12 to 18 months that's madness.

He holds the cards tbf. He can make them wait another year, reduce the risk of WHAM getting relegated and Arsenal know there'll likely be more competition for his signature at that point.

Paying £105m over 4 years in the current interest rare environment isn't that different to City's bid, if we were offering a single payment. Maybe he's regretting his dick swinging now.

Depending on our terms of the deal I wonder if it is the best option for them and why we are remaining quiet until its actually signed and announced

Some of the owners of these smaller clubs in England acting like they got carte blanche to fleece the owners of the bigger clubs at times gets annoying. I feel like it is easier to do business with the Bundesliga clubs

He held all the cards when we were still in the process. With us out he can walk away but he will have one really pissed off player, so that takes away some of his leverage.

Maybe the Dildo King is selling up and wants to pocket the Rice cash before doing so.

They do have carte blanche though, that's the point. He's their prized asset and it's their prerogative to charge what they see fit. Selling clubs dictate the market, not buying clubs.

Looking at it another way, it's not just about the "market value" of Rice, it's about how easy it is for West Ham to satisfactorily replace what he brings to the team. Let's assume his "market value" is £60m; how easy is it going to be for West Ham to get a player of his calibre, and a player that affects the team in the same way, in for the same fee? Next to impossible, I'd say. Which is where the premiums come in. It's the same with Leipzig, they want a record fee because Gvardiol is going to be nigh on impossible to replace with like for like quality.
