I hope so I think he looked better than rice when we signed him.
Totally agree with this. I wouldn't expect most fans to agree because he's currently playing for quite limited managers like Moyes and Southgate, but I bet Pep sees him as a player he can mould into being more effective going forward. Would be a great signing for us but also an excellent move for the lad if he wants to work with a manager who will develop his obvious potential.
I'd prefer Bellingham, but wouldn't say no to Rice. He's a very good player & it baffles me that some are calling him shit...Imo Rice is clearly a very very good player and highly adept at “what he does”.
I wouldn’t lose one second of kip if he rocked up rather than Bellingham.
How many times have we heard, we don't want to run rodders into the ground, an injury to him and we're goosed.
Rice would be the perfect fit to rotate with rodders, learn the ropes, and completely shut down the opposition if the need arises. Very versatile player. We play 60+ games every season and challenge for practically every trophy. We need quality in depth. Rice stands out a mile every time I've seen him play.
Great business if we could bag him for 40-60m with kalvin going the other way and we'd have loads left over to strengthen elsewhere.
If Rodri starts on tues thats his 50th appearance of the season. cant keep floggin him, its either buy Rice etc or trust PhillipsThere’s zero chance rice will come to city to be a rotation player. He will play where stones has played in midfield.
If Rodri is fit he will start pretty much every game
