I must be in a minority. Whenever I’ve watch West Ham I never thought he was motm or wow what a player. Maybe if he was in a really top team we’d see how good he really is.

I think you are.

Did you not watch his performances in the lead up the Conference final?

Its easy to see his quality now,he'd improve immensely in a top side.

Beyond his on field abilty,he is another that brings that special character and attitude to the dressing room and the training pitch - you just cant get enough of that in a squad.

Just seems we don’t fancy him mate?

I personally think a potential signing of Declan Rice could be one of the worst signings the club has ever made, at least when you take the fee into consideration. His passing ability would be among the worst (if not the worst) in the team, he looks slow and clumsy which makes me think he could look almost comically out of place in a team that plays with a high line and attacking football like City. Can see him becoming a midfield version of Maguire.

Just my opinion, if we sign him I would obviously hope I'm wrong and that he becomes a success. Me being wrong wouldn't exactly be the first time, I thought Phillips would be a good signing just a year ago haha :)

Which is ironic because your incorrect description of Rice fits Phillips perfectly ;)

Id be amazed and as equally impressed if he decided to move to Bayern. I think some players would benefit from moves like this.

Said this before but I really don’t see us being in for Rice. He isn’t as good as Rodri and for the money he will cost and his own ambitions he won’t move anywhere as a 2nd choice 6. I don’t think he’s technically good enough or creative enough to play as one of our 8s either.

No. We need reinforcements in midfield and the backline. Jesus got 11 league goals despite a 2 month lay off, but his movement, link up play and ability to dribble creates space for Odegaard, Saka, Martinelli. Those 4 scored 55 league goals between them last season. I prefer have a dynamic forward line rather than having a static front man. Kind of like it was with Liverpool, Firmino was never prolific but the space and opportunity he created for Salah and Mane was next level.

The idea is to sign Rice and keep Partey and Jorginho. Wasnt long ago we relied on a Partey and had Lokonga as his back up, we need to move away from that level of cover. Rice can also play centre half at a high level.
Hahahaha Jesus peaked with 11 goals. It’s downhill from here. He runs around a lot but can’t finish his dinner

Your 4 best attackers got 56* goals... combined.

Haaland has 52 on his own with 2 games left.

That "dynamic front line" really shows us up with our "static striker"

Haaland scored 36 premier league goals, not 56. And your top 4 scorers combined scored 66 league goals with Haaland scoring over 50%. Notwithstanding you only scored 6 more goals than we did in the league, 94 to 88 - Its not significantly different.

This is why I pushback on Arsenal fans who suggest a 'focal point' or 'target man', whether its Toney or Vlahovic or whoever. We dont need a striker, perhaps another attacker who can play across the front three. The goals will come from a variety of players. Jesus doesn't need to be prolific, the way he creates space, his passing and dribbling & surprisingly good hold up play makes it easier for others around him to score.

Odegaard, Saka, Martinelli, Jesus will score more goals than Odegaard, Saka, Martinelli, Toney.

People who think Arsenal need a striker in the target man sense, have a fundamental misunderstanding of us. We need Rice, and additional quality and quantity in midfield and the back
