Haaland scored 36 premier league goals, not 56. And your top 4 scorers combined scored 66 league goals with Haaland scoring over 50%. Notwithstanding you only scored 6 more goals than we did in the league, 94 to 88 - Its not significantly different.
You’re 4 scored 56 in ALL COMPS.
Haaland has 52.

Arsenal were able to focus entirely on the league because their cup showings were abysmal.

This is why I pushback on Arsenal fans who suggest a 'focal point' or 'target man', whether its Toney or Vlahovic or whoever. We dont need a striker, perhaps another attacker who can play across the front three. The goals will come from a variety of players. Jesus doesn't need to be prolific, the way he creates space, his passing and dribbling & surprisingly good hold up play makes it easier for others around him to score.
There’s no point in getting a “random” target man. There is a point in getting a striker who can actually hit 30 goals. Jesus barely reached a third of the way there.
Odegaard, Saka, Martinelli, Jesus will score more goals than Odegaard, Saka, Martinelli, Toney.
Correct but we’re not talking about Toney. If he’s the best available to you, the. You’re lucky to even be in the CL.

People who think Arsenal need a striker in the target man sense, have a fundamental misunderstanding of us.
No one said you need a target man - just a goal scorer. Everyone said these exact words about Haaland and City - and guess what - he’s scored more than any PL player ever.

We need Rice, and additional quality and quantity in midfield and the back
True. You need more than just Rice - and that’s just to hold on to where you are right now.

Your 4 best attackers got 56* goals... combined.

Haaland has 52 on his own with 2 games left.

That "dynamic front line" really shows us up with our "static striker"

Thing is, i dont think it's Black & White like that.

You added a striker that scored 36 league goals for you, but as a team you scored 5 fewer goals than last year.

We took out Auba & Lacazette, added an 11 goal striker in Jesus, and scored an extra 27 goals compared to last year.

As much as i say that, i do agree with you that Jesus misses too many chances. I still want my striker to be more clinical when he's through on goal. Only problem is, there's a lack of really good number 9's about!

Disagree. Jesus as a 9 would be a bit like peak Firmino at liverpool, which is fine if you have world class wide attackers like they had with Salah and Mane but you don’t have anyone close to their level.

Arsenal are at least 4 first team players of challenging for the league next season and you blew your best chance imo as Liverpool and United will improve and I doubt city will sleep for the first 6 months again. If you get the recruitment right (ie players at a much higher level than Zinchenko and Jesus) you’ll have a chance but make no mistake about it unless your as good as we were in 21-22, which you aren’t, you need at least one 25-30 goal player in your squad.

Betfair has made a market for Declan Rice to Bayern. Ive layed 5000 sausage rolls on Rice to not join Bayern at 4/1. Ill make 1250 when this doesnt happen.

Always happy to earn 25% on the gullability of others.

Rice is Arsenal bound, although outside chance Chelsea nip him, even smaller chance he goes to Manchester red or blue.

But he isnt going to Bayern, thats for sure. He would settle in Germany, about as well as any Englishmen would have in the early 1940's. Rice to Bayern LOL.

There is no doubt it took time for City to learn to play with haaland, or any out n out striker for that matter. We had to learn a whole new system.

There hasnt been one player that has slipped in seamlessly under pep, they all take a season. Rodri and grealish looked decidedly average in their first seasons.

At times, haaland has looked cart horse.
So yep, as a team we may have scored 5 goals less than the season before but we havent seen anywhere near the best of using haaland yet . He’ll be better again next season.

Don’t see us being in for him, makes no sense as it stands now (current squad + Kovacic).

Arsenal probably end up paying over £100m, not bad for a team that never spend eh.
