He needs game time, so a loan spell at a Club that would play him is what should happen.

It would be a great move for him as well. Still playing European football, much more likely to be starting week in week out, big stadium with good fans and a big chance to really kick start his career again. Stay at City and if we do sign Rice, he's gonna be watching from the stands all year again.

I also suspect this. It follows the usual pattern we've seen before when they use City as the bid bad bogeyman who will stop up ALL talent unless someone does something about it.

This is probably no closer to happening that Ronaldo was.

I don't know why I just have a gut feeling this won't happen.

Maybe because it feels all too good to be true.

i agree, i still feel he'll end up at arsenal. Us getting involved will give them a kick up the arse to better their offer and Rice will agree to go there. I think playing time will be the clincher.

I'm so confident that i've put the last £3.26 in my betfair account on him joining them.

Think he's missed the boat a tad,should have been coming back off a loan now having gained the experience he was/is cryingvout for and staked a claim.
As it stands,he isn't even starting for the u21's.

I think being around Pep and great players is probably helping him more than playing for the Under 21s. However at this stage in his career he needs to be playing in the Premier League on a regular basis so a loan move could be really good for him.There are a few teams that could offer him regular starts but if it could help sweeten the deal for us to get Rice, why not West Ham ?

Entirely different players and situations,Phil was our poster boy who's talent was never in doubt....he was earmarked from a very early age.
Cole is 21 now,he should be further up the ladder.
