That's the beauty of City's delay.

If Arsenal go higher, they also telegraph to other clubs how much money they are willing to go to, for what would be a secondary option after Rice.

They are caught between a rock and a hard place because they know Rice is prepared to move to City.

The best thing for them would be to walk from the table, take the moral high ground (again) rather than complicate matters by trying to fuck us over by bidding an extra £10m just to get back at us.

Cutting their nose to spite their face.
Does it matter what Arsenal do now? If Rice has decided then the arse can do one.

Runners up again it seems…

Are City still trying to shift Phillips?

Jack has paid that fee back in trophies. No one can doubt the transfer now. Well maybe idiots in the media but sure who cares they have been broken.
That period post world cup until Christmas where he was our best player probably turned the title race in our favour, especially when he scored at the Emirates & made it 2-1

So barring a complete turnaround it’s checkmate, who says our owner and chairman have forgotten all about what arsenal have been doing remember the headed paper to the premier league..

*Breaking news* Arsenal have just bottled it in their race to be top of the moral high ground league table, with Liverpool winning it for 35 straight year. Arsenal fans claiming they were only looking for a top four moral high ground position all along and a second place finish represents a great pre-season after all.

I`m sure Ajax will be looking at this offer from Arsenal for Rice now and waiting to see if and how much they up it by before they accept a bid on Timber?
