The thing is, when we walk away from deals it’s because we’re not willing to go up another £20m+ or have our pants pull down wage-wise.

If we’re bidding for Rice then we’ll know his terms. And we’re £10m off an agreement with West Ham on the fee.

I don’t necessarily think that all the ‘we don’t do bidding wars’ talk is particularly relevant here.
