We had an experiment along those lines last year with Gomez and it didn't really work out and thankfully he was not needed for any length of time.How do you know we aren’t in the same scenario right now? Remains to be seen how well the club has handled this situation. If Plan C is signing a very raw player from Celto de Vigo I can’t say that fills me with a tone of confidence.

I do think about what i type. So much so that i don't write a lot of stuff because i know there will be nit pickers and pedants dragging me into defending my writing a few words in a forum.Based on what? I said i considered Arsenal a big club because, quite simply, in my lifetime they've won lots of silverware. to add to that, when not winning they've been there or thereabouts. The George Grahame and Wenger era's are fairly fresh but even going back to the Liam Brady days. So i defend my right to consider them a big club.
