We’re also getting McAtee back to the first team, and Oscar Bobb. No one can plan a season based on who will be injured. Foden already plays in KDB’s role.

Depth is still an issue. And McAtee and Bobb joining, even though I love the integration of youth, are no way close to even fill those slots.

If my memory serves me correctly, around 9/10 years ago he shared the news that we were actively looking to sign Jack Wilshere.

Although the deal didn't materialized, that's another story. Can't remember any other insights.

Can’t lie I’m really disappointed we are likely to lose out in this deal. Rice for me is exactly the kind of player we need mentally more than anything to kick on again.

With how aggressive arsenal have been over the last few years (to good success as well tbf) I fully expect them to win a title in the next few years. They have a very good young side and rice will be the main man there. Can def see the appeal from his point of view.

Very interesting few weeks coming up for city. Don’t think it’s mad to suggest it could shape our future success over the next 5 years or so

Rice is not some final piece of the jigsaw, if they get him fine, I won't feel we lost out or that it will impact us negatively, we will find someone else, we always do
