Declan Rice

As an Arsenal fan, thats it for me. If West Ham reject this bid its time to walk away. Its more than fair, infact is a steep overpayment. As for payment terms, one of the reasons payments are spread out is liquidity issues in football. Money comes in, money goes out. People think football clubs are swimming in cash, but the truth is money goes out just as fast as it comes in. I dont know why West Ham think they shouldn't be beholden to payment over terms.
Maybe they don't want to sell on those terms - he is a westham player after all. I imagine you would similarly tell them to fuck off if they fancied taking Odegard off you and paying in instalments like an hp TV from Argos.
Not humbled enough it seems.

Match Arsenal's bid. West Ham will accept either bid. Then leave it with Rice. If Arsenal want to go higher, which I doubt they will, then walk away. An extra £10mill-£15mill extra in the 2nd bid on top of the 1st bid, spread over 2-4 years isn't going to cause City any problems.

Well that’s Rice deal over, West Ham all accept and Rice will happily go to Arsenal

On to the next target blues.

So we bid a silly amount same as the arse. hammers rejected both
Le arse have come back in with a bigger offer and better payment plan, west ham waiting for us.

So to these deluded tarquins if we bail that means we were snubbed, not we wouldn't pay the extra and have a limit to the piss taking from the tit n arse peddler.

A hundred pounds next year is worth less than a hundred pounds right now. That's another reason to defer payments.

Crazy sums of money. Makes the Bellingham price tag seem quite reasonable if Rice is worth 3 figures... which in my eyes he isn't.

Hopefully we're playing Arsenal like a fiddle here. Not too disimilar to what we have done to the rags on a few occasions in the past.

I'm sure the club will have identified a number of targets knowing there'd be some departures and a bit of activity this summer. No need to pay this English tax of double what they're actually worth.

We would luck stupid not going in now, it has to be all or nothing now

£80m up front (No change)
£10m January 24 (extra)
£10m next summer (Extra)
£10m in bonuses (No change, could get half of this Summer 24)

£105m within 12 months

Shake hands If Rice wants City that is?

Phillips on loan to West Ham, works both ways then

We would look like a club that went, nah fuck it, we have a limit that is hardly looking stupid

If we value him at what we offered and. arsenal are willing to beat that then so be it, no shame in that.

The only embarrasing things will be the twitter twats wanking over Sullivan shafting them thinking they have had some major victory because a player signed

100M+ for Rice is truly ridiculous. Whether Pep wants him or not
Everything is relative- why do we care what he costs? As a punter and City fan, I want to be entertained and win. I pay for that privilege. It’s not for me to worry about the cost of putting on that show. The club are responsible for the finances and I couldn’t care less how it’s done. I’m not sure why others get in a lather about it. City can clearly afford it, they’ve earned it by being shrewd and successful so dont worry about it.

100m in one go got grealish
100m in one go could get rice
Ridiculous money but is what it is
This probably is it. To Rice and to other players City are looking at, it shows City aren't in it for a laugh and will make the best possible effort up to a redline.

Didn't expect Arsenal to bid 105m with only 5m in add-ons. They are desperate to get him.

Of course, we can outbid them, but is it worth to do it? That's something for Txiki and Pep to decide.

As I argued yesterday, the payment structure will be decisive. We are not likely to bid (much) more than 105m. We can offer a better payment structure, though, provided we bid at all. If we bid, Rice is likely ours.

Well, you are a better man then. As for me, 100M+ for RICE bothers me, Declan is not a 100M+ player no matter how relative you look at it, whether we buy him with at that Price or not. Even if CITY can afford it, even if its not my money, it still bothers me. Such amounts for average and just above average players are what skews the market.

Given I was told people at City thought he’d end up at Arsenal a few days ago I was surprised to see us make an official proposal for him.

100 million pounds for Declan Rice is truly laughable.

What is Rodri worth then ? 200 million ?

I would be staggered if we don’t now walk away and move on to other targets.

The only ace up our sleeve would be including Kalvin in the deal but I don’t see him being remotely interested in going to West Ham. He’s desperate to stay.
