Give the lad a chance next season, he’s as blue as they come and you can be sure he’ll care more about being fit and ready for the shirt more than Phillips has shown so far.
Many have said that about Jack :)Never a 100mil player.
1 - football team bids maximum they are willing to pay for a player they like and that they know is willing to join themSo essentially guess work just like Eni then... Can't see the difference myself. :-)
Based on what? Lavia was deemed not good enough last year not to be part of the squad and now it looks like all of the top 6 are interested in him including us.Not good enough.
And they’d be right. Many have said that about Jack :)
I think he 100% needs a chance this coming season, as you say he bleeds blue.Give the lad a chance next season, he’s as blue as they come and you can be sure he’ll care more about being fit and ready for the shirt more than Phillips has shown so far.
Jack is also never a 100mil player. :)Many have said that about Jack :)
Based on the fact he's been at Sheffield United on loan. Not the best of signs. And Lavia isn't good enough also. Players like Rodders are one of a kind but if we're to bring in a deputy the drop off in quality can't be as stark as a Doyle/Lavia.Based on what? These kids need to be given a chance in an around the squad for a season, they can’t be any worse than the likes of Philips or Gomez.
Not good enough.
He is to the club though. An excellent player but also extremely marketable. When kids round here talk to me about City, it's always Grealish and Haaland they want to talk about.Jack is also never a 100mil player. :)
And they’d be right.
Jack was not worth 100m and neither is Rice. There’s a hefty England tax in those numbers. Like Jack though, there’s maybe other elements to the fee that we were prepared to pay and that the Arse are prepared to pay for Rice.
Mate, unless you were involved in the negotiations, you like Eni are making suppositions.1 - football team bids maximum they are willing to pay for a player they like and that they know is willing to join them
2 - Arteta rings Pep and asks if City wouldn't mind doing all the legals and due diligence to bid for a player they don't want, as that will convince Arsenal's board to place a higher bid for a player apparently only they are bidding for and we can therefore help out closest rival from last season to strengthen and we do it, despite it pushing the limits of legality and, I suspect, several PL rules.
Yep, no difference, toss a coin for which one of those is most likely
Don’t agree that you can say that. A teams results shouldn’t be correlated with whether someone was worth the outlay. Our CL run and I would argue FA Cup and PL were squad/team results of which Jack played a part and played a better part than he did last year. Having said that, no way does his individual contributions this year justify 100M.Do we win the treble without Jack? Probably not.
The results say Jack was worth every penny.
Will Rice elevate Arse to win PL + ? Probably not but they gotta try.

Jacks stats in the CL this year are P13, G0, A0. He was part of a squad, but think it’s a stretch to say we don’t win it without him. Not having the liability that is Cancelo playing LB helped us more.
I agree that Rice is very good, multi faceted and young and would have been a good addition. But I also think he's a bit overpriced. Think the Arse's transfer business has been quite good. They really do have a top managerHe is to the club though. An excellent player but also extremely marketable. Rice is a very good player but I suspect that he doesn't have anywhere near the same marketing value.

Stop talking shit. Grealish played 90 minutes in all but one of the knockout games in the CL. How the fuck do you correlate that as being a squad player for the CL?Don’t agree that you can say that.
