Delph would have been a better example but yeah, still isn’t happening mate.
When you say “still isn’t happening“ if you mean coming here, I agree completely. City, in recent times done go back so it’s over. Doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy this obvious pregnant pause for Arsenal to announce it which does suggest there’s financial implications of completing this deal that they’re not totally happy about. Maybe that’s the FFP budget gone and there’s others they want in the door too? Seems obvious the stumbling block is the structure of the deal and its implications for either additional incomings or would mean they need to sell. Otherwise, what’s the delay?

Oh, don’t get me wrong, it’s highly entertaining each day that passes where it’s not officially announced to Arsenal.
Makes them look like small time cunts and who can’t get behind that? :-)

The bigger problem is for West Ham tbh they need to sign a replacement if this drags on and they are panicking at the end of the window someone's going to have their pants down.

Yeah, not sure either club are coming off too great with the way this has been handled. Stranger things have happened in football so it’d be wrong of me to say with 100% certainty that it’s done (even though I have.. haha) but I think in this case Arsenals reputation would be tarnished to such a degree that they will do what it takes to complete the transfer.

Arsenal is just dragging it out to punish WHam for leaking every single minute of the negotiations, trying to lure City or Utd into a bidding war.

WH not my club, although I have no axe to grind with them, so not overly bothered.
Arsenal - need to tread carefully with how this looks to other clubs who might not be so accommodating. That could be a "ha ha" moment :) - yeah we were selling to you but you had trouble closing Rice so we sold elsewhere!

You can't get rid of a player that doesn't want to leave.

His interview this summer has laid down his intentions to Pep and the backroom staff.

100% not going.
Thanks for clearing that up. Any similar certainty on other potential ins and outs would be appreciated as no one else here seems to have your connections? I’d never heard of a player anywhere having that sort of power so I’ve learnt something.

Just giving my thoughts pal.

Very dissapoinring news.
To miss out on Bellingham and now Rice isn't good yet some posters were saying Bellingham was nailed on. Do they make these things up?

If the Rice transfer makes the gooners look bad, who the fuck actually cares, West Ham apart ?

Seeing as they didn't historically approach the City board directly when interviewing Arteta and persuading him to move, demonstrates that they have a " different way " of conducting their business. An arrogance perhaps that they could do what they want, as part of the established elite ?

So despite their self-entitled opinions of past glories and standing, they are deluded regarding their principles and values as a club, and from the evidence of certain of their supporters on this forum, they have never learned about humility.

Fuck them, and if it all blows up in the faces, so what, and Arteta can rant and throw tantrums aka Klopp for all I care.
