Now we must press on and win the league. I think we will need to buy, but if that's not possible this window then maybe loan deals. Cover at the back if Vinnie's out for four games, a winger to get behind those parked buses and a striker just because we need another. I wonder who scouts for us nowadays? We could do with another Ken Barnes working his magic again.
 
So we are going to spend over 10 million for a quality defender for cover for 4 games? - 2 of which are League Cup games, so if he is cup tied, that will be 2 games....

We have cover at the back in Lescott, Savic, Richards, Onuaha (register him in place of Tevez)
 
I have faith in the players we have got but realistically we need to be constantly looking to improve on what we have. We need to go out and find a centre half of the same ilk as Kompany, not because Lescott is poor but we should be striving to have the best players in every position.

2 injuries or a combination of injury and suspension at the back and we're up shit creek as I for one don't have enough confidence yet in the kids that we have.

A striker is an absolute must!!! At present, when fully fit, we have 3 but as we saw yesterday and against the bindippers we had no real attacking option on the bench we injuries hit.

The same goes for midfield, Yaya is away and with Barry suspended it only takes another suspension or injury to either De Jong or Milner and we're stuffed
 
We've needed a cb all season.not to cover vinnie but to play with him. Lescott puts the willies up me every time he gets the ball. As for a winger, we don't use them so no thanks. We could do with a proper striker to replace Teves and a midfielder with the ability to both tackle and pass to take some pressure off yaya.
 
outs,,,ned,bridge,tevez, are a must,,,so they must be having some ins,almost a 3rd of the window gone and silence wtf

Lescotts been class this season wouldn't say he's done much wrong IMO he has been better than Kompany.

Lescotts been class this season wouldn't say he's done much wrong IMO he has been better than Kompany.

He was dodgy as fck on Sunday without Kompany alongside him. Some of his passes were horrendous.

THE priority now, just as it should have been last summer, is a world class central defender - we're starting to see why im right........................oh, and a left back.

Agree, ball playing CB either T Silva, Hummels or Howedes
 
Would agree to getting a quality CB in as cover for Kompany if he is banned but realisticly which quality CB is going to come here knowing to well that when Kompany is back it's a high possibility he will be benched.

Lescott is good enough for the League but IMO not World Class which is what we require for Champs league. We would therefore need a better CB in the summer once we qualify for Champs league but for now we are ok.

Surely Savic, Lescott is good enough against Liverpool and Wigan, Spurs are on a different level to these 2 but maybe this will be the making of Lescott.

A fast winger who can create chances would be good but these are in short supply especially in January.

One signing this window and that will be either Di Rossi or similar.
 
I think we'll get by without any major changes in January. If we do make a move though I'd imagine it would be for a box to box midfielder to deputise for Yaya. This will be a priority in summer if not.

I think we'll look to add a winger and/or striker in the summer too. I'm not sure how Weiss and Guidetti are progressing during their time out on loan, but perhaps they could fill one or either of the roles. Unless we sell first I can't see us spending on any other areas. I can see Kolo being sold and replaced for example.

Cannot believe the quality of players we have out on loan that could do a job for us this season. Even players like Ned are getting overlooked because Mancini's talking about sticking in Rekik now. Might just be mind games so the owners start buying again! By all means loan players out to other teams but if they're needed to return then state that first before loaning them out.
