I think we need 4 players for the 3 CM positions. Silva, Gundo, Debryune and Isco or Tielemans will be my suggestion. Then Dihno for emergencies as an utility guy. But in the event that we need a specialized Pivot, Marcos Llorente will be my first call.

Fernandinho is good enough to play as DM, he started the season there and we won 10 games in a row with him in that position.
He is the most under rated player it seems in our team.

Not taking the piss at all, genuine question - do you think those two are title winning midfield quality? Or CL winning quality?
I'm not convinced personally, I think we need an upgrade, when you look at Dele Alli and Dembele and Eriksen in Spurs midfield, and Kante, Hazard and Willian/Fabregas/Matic at Chelsea, we definitely need to sign at least one absolutely world class central midfielder.
We won the League with Barry and NDJ before.

And, Barry and De Jong were better than Delph and Gundogan.

Are we being heavily linked to a DM? Fabinho for example doesn't seem to be strongly linked to us at the moment.
He is aging and it is showing even more now. I pointed it out a lot last season, but got shouted down by a few super fans. He is the most dependent on his athletism. And it is slowly eroding. His form then dropped off massively and he was awful. He's not the answer and should rightly be a squad player next season.

I love the guy but we need better. His distribution is good, but we need someone on Yaya's level- that's why I'm thinking we won't get Fabinho if he insists on playing mid. Something like Weigl would be ideal

Gundogan is one of the best deep lying playmakers in the world. His issue isn't quality, its his fitness. Having him fit and firing will completely transform our midfield.
