I find it very weird we still have no DM in when this position is 90% of our issues. I just don’t see anybody of real quality coming now :-(

I really don't think it is 90% of our issues at all.

A better DM than Kovacic would help a bit but it isn't going to make a huge amount of difference if we keep playing the same way. He would need pairing with Kovacic or perhaps Bernardo (if he can hold his position and not just buzz all over the pitch!) and then 3 with legs in front of those 2 (Marmoush, Savinho and Foden for example) to press and get back in support.

Kova is not the main issue guys...

Bernie said it well, it isnt the Rodri loss on its own causing the problem, its the backline.

Ake and Dias are our best defenders, and they are out for large periods.

Walker went to shit.

Stones is our best defender on the ball and was mostly out.

Akanji is the most fit of the senior guard, but I think most agree as a defender most would prefer Ake, Dias or Stones over him.

Sure, obviously Kova is a downgrade from Rodri and I dont like how long he holds ontk the ball.

But if i was to use percentages, id say 60% of the problem is the injuries to defense, 10% is kova in rodris spot.

30% would be fixed if Nico came in for Gundogan, for being an upgrade defensively and resting Gundogans legs.
