Villa are in Spain at present, so logistics would not be a problem.

Perhaps he's been able to speak to a few more people since then. Maybe Hodgson has worded him up!!

I'd have a new-found respect for him if he has the stones to bring this back from the fiery pits.
Think he stayed back due to wife about to give birth

Im going to post in this thread for no reason whatsoever

So... What's the delio? Would he just becoming because Villa have sold their best player? I can take that he failed a medical but he also released a statement saying he was staying at Villa. Wouldn't mind getting him but last week it looked like he had strung us along a bit. Interesting that there's another thread saying we are rolling out the blue carpet today.

Chill mate, when he was coming first time it was AS WELL AS Pogba - why should this be any different? Zin seems super confident still, and I'm sticking with that!

No panic here just following on from what dave said as i do believe we are still gunning for Pogba hopefully :)

I just checked the Villa site to check I hadn't nodded off and dreamt Delph's statement but it's still there...

Aston Villa captain Fabian Delph has confirmed he will be remaining at the club and leading the team into the new season.

He said: "I'm aware there has been intense media speculation surrounding my future in the last 24 hours and I want to set the record straight.

"I'm not leaving. I'm staying at the football club and I can't wait for the start of the season and captaining this great football club."

He's going to look a right silly sod if he signs now. AVFC fans won't be best pleased if they lose Benteke and Delph in the space of a few days for a combined £40m. You can't get much for that in this market.
