Quality striker, would work in our team yet I don't see him as a type of player that would warm the bench, come straight off it and perform well.
For me he needs regular games and tbh I'd rather we had Mario playing instead of Ba.

Demba Ba is a good player, loved when he scored againts rags. If we can get him cheep then get him. The guy will be very good backup when needed.

Again i agree totally with you, much prefer Balo. but i think we need someone Ba's ilk as a fourth option.

I saw a sky sports breaking news thing pop up on twitter earlier but fuck all since.Something like City preparing to activate Demba Ba release clause? Apparently its 10m but the deal is worth 20? Are my eyes playing tricks on me, I thought it would have been clocked by someone here?

It's a rag's idea of a joke that SSN say we're preparing a £20m offer for Demba Ba's £10m buy-out clause. I'd laugh if the same sort of joke hadn't been done 100 times. ;P

I think the scars left on Mancini this winter will stop him ever getting involved in African players again..........................and I agree with that - you cant miss THE most crucial month in THE most important League in the world.

No way. ACON doesn't happen every year and what we have gotten from YaYa more than makes up for what we will lose during this period. Ditto with Chelsea and Drogba.

ACON happens every 2 year, but they're shifting it to odd years, therefore next year "2013" another ACON will take place then 2015 - 2017..... and so on
The idea that any half decent striker whom is playing for a decent team scoring lots of goals and plays every week providing he is fit would come to City and be happy to be 3rd striker at best is being ridiculas.

I think he'd make a good 4th striker for us but.............................
TBH I think it would be a dirty move to go for Ba now that his buy-out clause is in the public domain. It would lay us open to all sorts of accusations about "ruining" Newcastle's season and I think they'd be justified also. On top of that, it feels to me like we'd be doing 'Arrry's dirty work for him now he's planted the seed.
I'm sure some club will go for him, my money's on the rags if they sell Berbatov or the dippers (although it may be once bitten, twice shy for the dippers :D) or possibly even Spurs as 'Arry can't stop talking about him.
